I learned that the earth was formed about 4.6 billion years ago. I learned that the earth consist of 6 eons, there names are Hadean, Archean, Proterozoic, Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic. During the Hadean eon, the earth had chaotic conditions and planets were subjected to millions of years of violent impacts known as the Late Heavy Bombardment. Second was the Archean eon where the earths crust was began to cool and continental plates began to form. Third was the Proterozoic eon where the first life form was recorded. Forth was the Paleozoic eon where the earths landmasses were broken up into a substantial number of relatively small number of continents. The fifth eon, the Mesozoic eon was the age of dinosaurs. The sixth and last eon, the Cenozoic eon which is the eon we are in now and it is the start of humans on earth.

We learned that the earth is about 4.6 billion years old and is continuing. We know that there are different ways to tell how old the earth is. When we use the law of superposition it tells us that each layer is older than the layer above it so as you go deeper the older you get. There are other ways of knowing the earth, like absolute dating, radioactive dating, relative dating, and carbon-14 dating. We know that the earth has different eons, there are 6 right now. Hadean, Archean, Proterzoic, Paleozoic, Masozoic, and Cenozoic. Different events occurred in these eons, such as the moon formation, abiogenesis, photosynthesis, cyanobacteria, oxygen, orgen, rodinia, and snowball. The moon formation happened in the Hadean eon, if you put it on a clock of the earth is would be 12:05. The abiogenesis happened in the Hadean eon as well, and the time would be 1:25. The next event was photosynthesis it came about in the Archean eon it would be 2:30 on a clock. After photosynthesis there was cyanobacteria which happened in the Archean eon as well and would be 4:00. Next was oxygen that would be at 5:30 and in the Proterozoic eon. In the Proterzoic eon there was also the events of orgens at 7:10, rodina at 9:20, and snowball at 10:20. After all of that and in between it all life started to occur. Starting with prokaryotes then eukaryotes next to muticellular organisms then to animals and on to plants; then land plants and dinosaurs next mammals and finally humans.

we learned that Earth is roughly 4.6 billion years old. I learned about the events that happened on the earth and when. These events are the moon formation, abiogenesis, photosynthesis, Cyanobacteria, oxygenation, orogens, rodina, and snowball. The moon formation occurred in the Hadean eon, in which they think it was formed by a result in a giant impact with a large body known as Theia. Abiogenesis also occurred in the Hadean eon, abiogenesis is the original evolution of life or living organisms from inorganic or inanimate substances. photosynthesis occurred in the Archean eon, the first photosynthetic organisms probably evolved around 3400 million years ago. Cyanobacteria also occurred in the Archean eon, cyanobacteria appeared, around 3000 million years ago, and drastically changed the Earth when they began to oxygenate the atmosphere. Oxygenation occurred in the protozoic eon, this major environmental change happened around 2.4 billion years ago. Orogens occurred in the protozoic eon, orogeny refers to forces and events leading to a severe structural deformation of the Earth's crust due to the engagement of tectonic plates. Rodina also occurred in the protozoic eon, it formed around 1000 Ma by accretion and collision of fragments produced by breakup of the older super continent, Columbia. Snowball also occurred in the protozoic eon, The sudden multiplication of life forms on Earth, known as the Cambrian explosion may have been kick-started by the most recent snowball episode, triggering the evolution of multi-cellular life.
