Complete 3 objective observations under the column that the type of development lives. We need to focus on development. Your name should be the subject. 3 sentence minimum per picture. Be objective with your observations. Saying the children are happy or excited is subjective. Being objective is using fact and not opinion. The purpose of the observation is that you gain information relating to development that you can use for future lessons. Always include what is going on in the activity, what development is seen and how you can use this information in the future. When you are done, comment on two of your peers observations. 3 observation plus 2 comments equal 5 points.

For big group on 2/7/18, Daniella and Melissa did an activity with animals and counting. Most of the preschoolers have really gotten the hang of counting and following directions. The students that struggled with counting were asked to try again and they counted correctly with help from the teachers. This can be used for future lessons by talking about animals and giving the, harder numbers to count to when they're ready.

For all individual lesson, Melissa read a book called, "From Caterpillar to Butterfly." She incorporated a caterpillar and butterfly puppet for Ethan and Henry to use as she read the story. She was asking questions about what pictures they saw, and Henry was really engaged until the story ended. This can be used for future lesson plans because instead of only reading a story, we can include puppets or something that they can keep their hands on during the reading so they can stay on task.

For this individual lesson, Sophia is using scissors to cut out the shape of a pyramid. This is an example of a small motor lesson because she used scissors, markers, and tape to make the pyramid. This can be used in the future because it seemed as if Sophia really liked cutting out the shape and being able to decorate things.

Adan, Danny, and Isaiah all work together to build a car! They help each other by passing out the parts they need in order to build it. Of course Danny gets a little upset but they learn to share with one another. Before I did a group activity, allowing them to have partners so they can learn to socialize and share and it worked. So for future lessons, I would allow them to be in partners or groups. This is Social development allowing them to communicate and share.
