I discovered Soltau and immediately felt drawn to her disturbing, hyper-feminine but gruesome collages, in which she uses real stitches and staples to attach images together. this create a really brutal appearance, which often juxtaposes the content f the image itself. i felt this was extremely relevant for my project, and drew a lot of inspiration from her work.
