2. ChatGPT Biography

The Biography that we allowed ChatGPT to help us with was an excellent tool to help each of us articulate a short essay. The multiple paragraph essay helped our professor learn a little bit about our current life, and how we intend our future to play out in the coming years! I enjoyed this project because it aided my writing by elaborating on what I typed into it by using my short descriptions and making the essay flow together in corresponding sentences.

3. Name Tent

We created the name tent that way we would know each other’s names in the class and it helped our teacher take roll. I would create a name tent in a classroom setting in the future for each of my students or allow them to make their own: in order for them to make it personalized to themselves and for me to take roll and to learn their names easier.

I based my objectives and goals around fourth graders in math class, learning and understanding how to solve addition problems with fractions. I did this because it is helping me work towards writing objectives better in a lesson plan and separating the difference in a goal and an objective.

I enjoyed working on this for the assure model because this helps me break down lessons for students to make it easier for me if I am developing my own personal lesson plan. It helps to specifically target certain areas because each letter stands for a specific skill to be mastered or used during the lesson or instruction.

6. Symbaloo, Wakelet, and Pinterest

Using these three curations apps can help anyone who is planning something. As a future teacher, I can use these to plan activities and lesson plans in order to build proper units for the teachers.

The travel brochure concept map is a great tool to be used in order to plan and brainstorm how my traveling plans would/will go in the future.

8. Canva- Brochure

This brochure can be used to entice world travels to come and enjoy your traveling recommendations. I can use brochure making to show my family and friends my travel plans, or for my students to make them about our class topics.

9. Canva - All about us

This project allowed me to learn more about my classmate Monste and where she is from and her personal interest. It is great for students to use who need to learn more about their peers, and then to be able to share with the rest if the classroom!

10. Removing background images

We removed background images from pictures and added new backgrounds in class one day. I used a picture of myself from my recent trip to Las Vegas, Nevada and added a new background to spice up the image. This is a great tool if you wanted to picture yourself in a new location, or just to have a copy with a different background.

11. Vocaroo

I liked using Vocaroo. I did my reading with ReAnne and we read from a Dr. Seuss book. I liked how you would talk about how you would get, or your students teacher would use this with their ‘littles’ to narrate their drawings and paintings. Overall, i think having a QR code to scan and hear someone’s voice is such a powerful tool to use this day and age, and can be beneficial for children with disabilities!

12. Podcast MP3

I enjoyed doing the podcast mp3. I did however have trouble unloading it onto my website. Other than that I had fun doing it and can use this in the future if I wanted to make a podcast to send to friends or to post on social media.

13. Google slideshow-Mobile app presentation

I enjoyed learning about new mobile apps through this project. Mine was conducted about an app called Answer AI. It has a few of the features ChatGPT has, but more assistance in aiding the process of applying to college and checking your mistakes in papers. I plan to use more apps like this to help with ideas such as for lesson planning or for ELL assistance in lesson plans!

14. Movie

I enjoyed making the group movie with ReAnne. We did ours about the locations on campus that pitch perfect was filmed at. This project motivated us to go around campus, filing ourselves, and directing our film. This project was a fun way to get us out of the classrooms and to connect more with our peers. This will be a beneficial idea to take with me into my stduents teaching year in order to spark students interest in technology, and for keeping learning fun!

16. Green screen Movie

I enjoyed doing the green screen movie. I thought that this project was fun and allowed us to be creative and allowed us to express something that we do or enjoy in our free time. I think that by doing this it can allow students to be creative and immerse their background with the topic they are speaking of.

17. Padlet

This is my first time using Padlet. I think that this site is really good for organizing your thoughts such as what I’ve done over the past two days while riding about my experiences and assessments in this course. It reminds me of social media in a way, kind of like Pinterest on how the document is organizing my post for each number. I really like this site for how help it has helped organize my portfolio!

I enjoyed using this program because it allows me to screen record my website and Padlet. I was able to narrate and record myself looking back at my first recording in order to explain what I had been completing throughout the semester. I was impressed with how easy it was to record your videos and edit them into a format to share to YouTube. I will definitely look into using this website again if I have to make another recording like this, so I downloaded the app to have for later.

19. Final Thoughts

I liked how we built our website in the classroom, but that wasn’t our main focus. To me, I felt that our main focus was intentionally getting to learn and meet all of our classmates, along with completing projects to be added into the website that can be beneficial for each of us, even though we are not all in the same major. My project was For most of my projects, I was with ReAnne and she is planning to go to law school next year and I am planning to go to grad school for elementary education, but we were able to talk about how each of these applications can help us our academic goals, and own personal interest.

Dear the holiday, I plan on taking a lot of time to myself along with hunting with my dad. I love the outdoor so I plan on spending a lot of time, enjoying the woods and the nature that lives there. I plan on seeing my extended family and friends a lot during the break. My family and I are traveling to Colorado right after Christmas to escape reality for a little bit and enjoy the snow. Normally, we go to Jackson hole, Wyoming each year but we want to make a little bit different because mom and dad celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this past January and they celebrated their honeymoon in crested Butte, Colorado so we are going to celebrate them in a way, and to have our last family trip together before my sister gets married this coming May!

I am also going on my sister‘s bachelorette trip at the start of the new year around January 4 in broken Bow, Oklahoma. I am looking forward to this because I know we will have a lot of fun up there, but I have a feeling it’s going to be extremely cold, which I do not mind at all.

I do plan to work a little bit during my break. I work with a very close family friend that we consider family. She owns a business called upper crust catering in North Louisiana. Her daughter Miller Claire Kilgore was a KD at LSU probably 10 years ago, she is very lovely and has always been like an extra big sister to my sister and I. So my sister and I go help during the holiday season when we are home from school to ensure that she has enough workers that help her parties flow smoothly.

Other than all of the things I have listed, I plan to do a lot of writing, reading, painting, crocheting, and making s’mores because those are one of my favorite things to eat when it’s cold! I plan to also really enjoy this break because my break will not be as long next year while I am student teaching.

I have had such a wonderful semester, having you in person and getting to acquire more knowledge about education that is going to help prepare me for my student teaching year and for any upcoming challenges or task that I might face!! I also only have the science section left to pass for the Praxis so I am very pleased with how this semester has been and is wrapping up!!!
