I would be lying if I said I was not skeptical of how that academic year would unfold, but I'm glad that it exceeded every bit of expectation I had. Despite the situation being unfamiliar because it was our first year in an online setting, Sir Marvin handled it quite well and his efforts were evident from the way he handles his class, to the way he manages himself to be the spitting image of Mariah Carey every synchronous session.

I am quite certain when I say that I am most probably not the first student to mention to you how remarkable you are when teaching. You make seemingly boring lessons fun by presenting it in such an enthusiastic manner that even your most toned-down student is drawn to the discussion. That was during our oral communication and reading & writing class, outside of those classes however—during our advisory—you claim to be a different person. It was always funny to me how you refer to your subject teacher self and adviser self like you aren’t one and the same. 

It also surprised me that whenever I enter a meeting with you, there is a music playing, and oftentimes you sing along with it. I’ve heard you sing so much that I would even go as far as to saying that your vocal mastery rivals that of the nation’s songbook, Kween Yasmin Asistido. I am still young, and I would definitely encounter more educators as I proceed to college next year, but I want you, Sir Marvin, to know that even though I may forget some memories I made in your class, or even some of our interactions, you were able to genuinely make a student happy.
