Last year during SOL review season, I visited classrooms to complete a math review game activity. I set up the review as a "teacher vs. student" type game, which really got the students engaged. After the lesson, the students wanted to create their own digital review games to share with their peers. We didn't have a lot of time to do such an activity, but I did allow them to explore how the activity I created worked, and shared slides with them that they could explore and edit.

The ultimate goal this year is to make a plan with teachers to collab + have the students in the driver's seat to create their own review activities to share with their classmates. The students will love that they are the ones creating those "gamification" experiences for their peers.

I had a teacher approach me with a "I want to do a technology project" in May. I chose a topic from the ELA curriculum (oceans) and incorporated a project using code.org. The students loved it and the teacher was so proud to show off the projects. It was a great experience and I got 5+ hours in one classroom really getting to know the students and teacher. -- Franny
