I’ve taken on a new role at work and have been tasked with multiple projects. Sometimes I stay up at night worrying about it and come to work tired most days. I don’t feel as energised as I used to and feel myself withdrawing from friends and family when they ask how I’m doing.

I accidently missed a step in a published HDIG document which was extremely important to the process. A stakeholder picked it up and brought it to the attention of my manager. I’m feeling quite sick and anxious about making the mistake, and how my manager will handle this situation.

Tomorrow I am due to give a big presentation to multiple stakeholders within the business. I’ve been up all night with my son who has a high fever and has been vomiting. My wife has to take our daughter on an excursion tomorrow and can’t stay home to care for our son. I anxiously message the group chat, as I know leaving this big task in their hands is quite stressful last minute.
