A colleague who was going in the other direction immediately changed her direction, took half of of these heavy items, and helped me carry everything from ground floor to my destination on second floor. We celebrate Birthdays as a department, I bring in treats off and on to brighten the day, I write notes of encouragement to each of my colleagues, thanking them for all that they do. I try to listen to my colleagues when they have something to say or a concern to voice or a complaint or struggle their dealing with. And I try to listen without trying to solve it or make them feel bad for having the thoughts. 

We all have struggles and we all have complaints and gripes and students who drive us up the wall and issues with each other... we're human. - We usually don't go a whole week without someone bringing some food in.
- A few times each semester there is an activity outside of school that we partake in.
