I use "student-teacher goal setting" to set a lifelong learner SMARTE goal during my virtual French student's first DBA of the semester. We work together to create a French language or francophone culture goal that is done outside of the regular submission of assignments and assessments in order to enhance student motivation to learn and encourage continued passion for the subject matter.

When I think of entry points, I think of a posting an array or picture of objects and asking students how they would count them. There isn't a wrong answer and it gives students an open end for where they are learning.

Small group and one-on-one time allow me to meet individual needs based on readiness data. As I am teaching two digit subtraction in math, I have one student who is ready to explain their process and even do 3 and 4 digit problems. Another student needs guidance, but can do it with scaffolding, A third recently came to us from homeschooling and needs basic skill work in addition and subtraction with one digit numbers. I will then scaffold instruction as she builds her skills. I vary the questions in our class meet so they can all be successful.

Creating a verb conjugation music video by taking a popular song and changing the lyrics to teach the audience how to conjugate a specific verb or verb group.
