         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ruth Aiko Asawa is an American sculptor. She  specialised in making different types of 3D - sculptures. She is known mostly by using wire as the chosen material for her sculptures. She was born on the 24th of January during 1926. Her sculptures have been displayed in various different museums in America. Some of her sculptures are included in the collection within the Whitney Mueseum of American art, which is located in New York City. She also has many of her sculptures located in the Solomon R.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Ruth Asawa also has fifteen wire sculptures that have been placed on permanent display. These sculptures are located in the tower of San Francisco's de Young Museum. This Museum is located in Golden Gate Park. She also had the position of being an  arts education advocate. She also had a big in hand in the creation in of building the San Francisco School of the Arts. This schools was renamed as the Ruth Asawa San Francisco School of the Arts.
