Helga was born in 1929 November 10th in Prague. She was born in Prague. She studied at the academy of fine arts. Helga mother and fathers names were Irene Fuchsova was a seamstress and his father Otto Weiss and he worked at a state bank in Prague. Helga really loved school and she was an artist. Helga lived in Prague most of her life until she was moved to the camps in October 4th , 1944. Later on in life helga had one kid and it was a boy named Jiří Hošek.

When she was ten she was banned from school. On October 4th 1944 Weiss and her mother were transported to Auschwitz. She was 150 out of 15,000 kids who survived the holocaust. She was transferred to a labor camp and escaped death for her 2nd time. After she was then forced to join 16 day death march. In 1944, on the train platform of Auschwitz, Helga Weiss and her mother trick Josef Mengele, one of the most despised men in modern history, and managed to save their lives.
