Why do I like these media?

How are these media influencing or affecting me? (my lifestyle, aspirations, attitudes, behavior). Is this healthy? If yes, how come? If not, what steps should you take to change it?

• I like these sorts of media as they provide a temporary escape from reality, especially music which give me a longing and nostalgia for a past that I was never a part of and was not even born yet, and the paintings as well portray a retro, bubbly, saturated and imaginative reality, also my TikTok feed, as it provides a good laugh which is something I really need especially after a long and tiring day at school and at home doing chores, I can enjoy and be entertained watching TikToks, Lastly, the educational content I watch give me something to dream about as some of these predict that humanity will terraform venus/mars, etc.

• These media influence and affect me through my behavior and perception of society, and for me yes this is healthy in moderation, I am the type of person to analyze before believing straight away, I also tend to compare results coming from different perspectives, Furthermore, I am content with my media consumption and sure not everything is true/perfect, but no one is really meant to know everything, call me ignorant if you will, at least in my opinion, However, I still find the information taught in Media and Information Literacy very useful as it allows me to discern more clearly and carefully the different ploys and tactics that media creators try in order to influence and get my attention as I am now aware of the process of making media, I now know that it is a constructed reality and there will always be biases as it is human made.
