         <title>APRIL </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Week 1 : 1/4/2024 - 7/4/2024</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>        <mark>1/4/2024 (Monday) (9.00am -3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>My first day of practicum at the EDC HOTEL &amp; RESORTS started on 1st April 2024. I reported duty at 9.00am. On the first day, the Operation Manager of EDC HOTEL  &amp; RESORTS, Mr. Ahmad Fauzi Bin Zainal Abidin conducted a briefing session for the practicum students who will be working at the hotel. </p></li><li><p>Including me there are 3 of us who have been joined as practicum students at the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. Mr. Fauzi started his briefing by welcoming  three of us to EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. Then, he continued to give a brief description about the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>After the description about the hotel, Mr. Fauzi asked three of us to introduce ourselves. After the introduction session finished, Mr. Fauzi gave a paper which contains of the names of the departments and the working period in each of the departments. Each of us have been assigned in different department and we have to work in each department for one month. Food and beverage, kitchen, front desk, housekeeping, accounting, sales and marketing are the departments where I should work during the 6 months period of my practicum at EDC  Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>The first department which I have been assigned to work is Food and Beverage Department. I have to work in the Food and Beverage department for the whole  month of April. Then, the next month, I will be shifted to another new department. I was introduced to Mr. Roni and he is the Food and Beverage Executive Officer who is in charged of the Food and Beverage department of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>Mr. Roni explained me about the job description of Food and Beverage department of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>My first day of work finished at 3.00pm and Mr. Roni asked me to come to work at 3.00pm which is afternoon shift because food and beverage department operates on afternoon shift during the Ramadan month. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>2/4/2024 (Tuesday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>My second day work started at 3.00 pm. After I reached the hotel, the front office worker explained me about the punch card process which is used by the EDC Hotel to take the attendance of the employees to the work. A brand new card was prepared for me and the front office worker taught me how to do the punch card process. Basically, there is a box placed in the room which is located near to the front office area. So, there are three pair of buttons available in that box, including in and out for the morning shift workers, in and out for the afternoon shift workers, finally, in and out for the workers who are doing their OT which is known as overtime. The process of the punch card system is very simple. I have to press the in button under the afternoon shift section. After pressing the button, I have to insert my attendance card into the box. Then, it will automatically punched my attendance. The date and time of my check in and check out of the work will be recorded in my attendance card. </p></li><li><p>After the punch card process, I went to the hotel's restaurant. Mr. Roni started the day with a quick briefing about the tasks of the day. </p></li><li><p>EDC Hotels &amp; Resorts are organizing the Ramadan buffet for the whole Ramadan month. The unit HEA of UUM conducted a breaking fast ceremony at the banquet hall of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>After all the workers have reached EDC's restaurant, there will be a short briefing session which have been conducted by the Food and Beverage Executive officer, Mr. Roni. During the briefing session, Mr. Roni explained about today's event and Mr. Roni also explained some important tasks which should be conducted during the event today. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to work as a waiter for that event which was held at the banquet hall of ED Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>I worked as a waiter for that event. Before the event start I was involved in arranging the utensils, tables and chairs for the event. </p></li><li><p>During the event I checked the amount of foods at the buffet and if the foods are reducing my job is to inform the kitchen department to refill the food items. </p></li><li><p>As a waiter I also have cleaned the guest's plates after they are finished with their meal. </p></li><li><p>After the event I was assigned to arrange the table and chairs for tomorrow's event. After preparing for tomorrow's event, AT 11.00pm, my work finished. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>        <mark>3/4/2024 (Wednesday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I worked at the banquet hall. There was a breaking fast event for the staffs of School of Business, (SOB) and the post graduate international students. Same as yesterday I worked as a waiter for that event. </p></li><li><p>Same as yesterday I checked the food items and informed the kitchen staffs regarding the food items which are reducing. </p></li><li><p>After the guests are done with their meal, as a waiter I have to take their plates and I should separate the plates by its category such as dinner plates, baby plates, dessert plates. After I have separated the plates, the kitchen team especially the stewards collected all the utensils to be washed at the kitchen.  </p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>        <mark>4/4/2024 (Thursday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work as a waiter at the restaurant of EDC Hotels &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>Today Breaking fast event was organized and foods were served in a buffet system.</p></li><li><p> I have stand at the entrance of the restaurant to welcome all the guests and after the payment for the meal is done at the counter, I guided the guests to the tables according to their bookings.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong><em>         <mark>5/4/2024 (Friday) (Off Day)</mark></em></strong></p><ul><li><p><em>The management of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts provides weekly one day off to their workers. </em></p></li><li><p><em>Friday is my off day. </em></p></li><li><p><em>Based on the other worker's off day in a week, Friday was given as my weekly off day by the food and beverage executive officer Mr. Roni.</em></p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>        <mark>6/4/2024 (Saturday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the restaurant of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I was assigned to prepare all the utensils which will be used for the buffet. </p></li><li><p>Then, I have also checked the quantity of the food items and if the foods are reducing, i have to inform to the kitchen department in order to refill the food items. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>7/4/2024 (Sunday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today was the last day of the Ramadan buffet which has been EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts during the Ramadan month. </p></li><li><p>I had a good opportunity to communicate with the guests during my work as a waiter. After the event I have cleared all the plates and other utensils from the guests tables.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>        </strong></p>]]></description>

         <title>Week 2 : 8/4/2024 - 14/4/2024</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><br></p><p><strong>     <mark>8/4/2024 (Monday) (9.00am - 5.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Since the "Hari Raya" festival is in next two days, all the workers in the food and beverage department have taken a long leave until Friday.</p></li><li><p>The operational Manager, Mr. Ahmad Fauzi assigned me to work at the housekeeping department for three days until Thursday during the  "Hari Raya" festival leave. </p></li><li><p>I have shifted to the morning shift in order to work at the housekeeping department.</p></li><li><p>My work at the housekeeping department starts by cleaning up the vacant rooms at the 4th floor. </p></li><li><p>The housekeeping process of the rooms starts with cleaning of the toilet. I cleaned the toilet bowl, then I cleaned up the trashes inside the dustbin which is placed in the toilet. </p></li><li><p>I used some detergents during the cleaning process of the toilet rooms, so that the toilet bowl is cleaned well. </p></li><li><p>After the cleaning process at the toilet, I continue to do the bed. Firstly, I changed the bedsheets. Totally, there are three layers of bedsheet. Then, I the changed pillow case . </p></li><li><p>If the guest have used the towel, I should keep a new towel in the room. </p></li><li><p>Then, I cleaned up the trash bin inside the room. </p></li><li><p>After that I have swept the floor and done mopping. </p></li><li><p>Then, I checked at the table, if the bottles are finished, I should add two new bottles at the table. </p></li><li><p>Then, I also have checked sugars, Nescafe packets and the tea packets. I have to add four sugar packets, two Nescafe packets and two tea packets. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>9/4/2024 (Tuesday) (8.00am - 4.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I assigned to do housekeeping work at the second floor. </p></li><li><p>After I reached to work, I have to get the report list of rooms that should be cleaned. </p></li><li><p>After getting the report from the front office desk, I immediately gave the report to the senior housekeeping worker and together with the senior housekeeping worker, I have started to do the housekeeping process of the rooms. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I gave some tissues, garbage bags and bottles to the guests who are still occupying the rooms. </p></li><li><p>After that I have started to do housekeeping works based on the report list. </p></li><li><p>I did the housekeeping works at the rooms which have been checked out by the guests. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>10/4/2024 (Wednesday) (Public Holiday) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Public Holiday for Hari Raya Aidilfitri </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>11/4/2024 (Thursday) (8.00am - 4.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I did my housekeeping working at fourth floor. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>12/4/2024 (Friday) (8.00am - 4.00pm)</mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I did the housekeeping works at the second and third floors. </p></li><li><p>Since there are only few rooms that need to be cleaned, I was assigned to do the cleaning of public area. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to vacuum the lobby area.</p></li><li><p> I also have vacuumed the lifts which are located near to the lobby area. </p></li><li><p>Then, I did some sweeping work at the outside area of the hotel. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>13/4/2024 (Saturday) (10.00am - 6.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today there was a wedding reception ceremony at the banquet hall of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>For this wedding reception, I was assigned to work as a waiter as usual. </p></li><li><p>The wedding reception starts at 12.00pm and the total expected number of guests for the wedding reception is around 500 people and above. </p></li><li><p>It was a very challenging task for me to work as a waiter for a big event like this. </p></li><li><p>Before the event, I was assigned to set the utensils on the VIP tables, especially for the bride and groom table. </p></li><li><p>It was a very tiring day for me because I was standing continually for almost five hours. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>        <strong><mark>14/4/2024 (Sunday) (8.00am - 4.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I went back to the food and beverage department to continue my work there. </p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the EDC Hotel's restaurant. </p></li><li><p>I worked as a waiter for the breakfast which have been served to the guests of the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>The guests who wants to have their breakfast at the restaurant should buy the coupon at the front office and with that coupon they can have their breakfast at the EDC Hotel's restaurant. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to check whether all the food items are already arranged at the buffet table. </p></li><li><p>Then, I also have been assigned to inform the kitchen department if the foods are started to reducing. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>    <mark> 15/4/2024 (Monday) ( 7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the restaurant.</p></li><li><p>After I checked in for my work, I arranged all the needed utensils for the buffet for today's breakfast.</p></li><li><p>The breakfast which is offered by the EDC Hotel is only for the hotel guests and the guests have to pay separately for their breakfast.</p></li><li><p>As usual I was assigned as a waiter for the breakfast.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>      <mark>16/4/2024 (Tuesday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>As usual worked at the restaurant as the waiter at the restaurant.</p></li><li><p>After the breakfast I did some other works such as cleaning up the restaurant, separating the utensils and arranging it properly in the store room.</p></li><li><p>Separating of the utensils is a very challenging work actually because there are various types of utensils which are used during the buffets.</p></li><li><p>Among the utensils or cutleries which are normally used during the buffet are dinner plate, baby plate, dessert plate, goblet, soup bowl, tea spoon, dinner spoon, cup and saucer.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>        <mark>17/4/2024 (Wednesday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Due to the service of air conditioner at the restaurant, the breakfast have been shifted to the banquet hall of the hotel.</p></li><li><p>As usual I was assigned as a waiter for the breakfast.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>       <mark>18/4/2024 (Thursday) (12.00pm - 8.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to afternoon shift.</p></li><li><p>Firstly, I worked as a waiter for a lunch buffet which was prepared for all the lecturers of UUM who attended a seminar at the EDC Hotels &amp; Resorts.</p></li><li><p>After lunch buffet, I was assigned to work for an event which is conducted at the banquet hall of the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>       <mark> 19/4/2024 (Friday) (7.00am - 3.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work as a waiter for the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>After all the dishes are prepared to be served, I took all the dishes to the buffet area to be serve to the guests. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to take care of the buffet during the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to refill the dishes in the buffet. </p></li><li><p>After the breakfast have finished, I was assigned to collect all the plates and cups which have been used by the guests and I also rearranged all the items for the lunch.  </p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>        <mark>20/4/2024 (Saturday) (9.00am - 5.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned for morning shift.</p></li><li><p>After came to the restaurant, Mr. Roni asked me to take the daily report file from his office.</p></li><li><p>The daily report file contains all the information regarding the events which will be organized at the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts.</p></li><li><p> Seminars, meetings, wedding receptions and various types of events are frequently organized at the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts.</p></li><li><p>Major information of the events will be included inside the report file.</p></li><li><p>Information which are usually included in the report file are :-</p></li></ul><p>  -Date, day and time of the event.</p><p>  -Number of guests.</p><p> -The seating arrangement for the event such as classroom set up, u shaped table set up, boardroom set up and many more.</p><p>-Menu of the event.</p><p>-Itinerary of the event.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>     <mark>  21/4/2024 (Sunday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to set up the meeting room for a seminar.</p></li><li><p> I was guided by two of my senior workers during the room set up.</p></li><li><p>Firstly, I arranged round tables and chairs.</p></li><li><p>Totally there are five round tables and ten chairs were arranged for each round tables.</p></li><li><p>I also put mineral water bottles on the round table for each person.</p></li><li><p>After putting mineral water bottles, I put stationary items on the round tables for each of the guests.</p></li><li><p>Pencil, pen and a piece of paper are the stationary items which have been put on the round table.</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>         <mark>22/4/2024 (Monday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>As usual I was assigned to work as a waiter today for the breakfast buffet.</p></li><li><p>After I came in for the work I checked the daily report to know about some important information regarding the breakfast buffet of the day.</p></li><li><p> Information such as number of guests, room number of the guests and the breakfast menu are included in the daily report.</p></li><li><p>After the breakfast buffet, I cleared all the utensils and clean the tables and the buffet area.</p></li><li><p>After the breakfast buffet is over, I added the utensils which have been reducing. For example, if the number of baby plates have been reduced, I have to added in more baby plates.</p></li><li><p> I arranged the utensils which are needed for the lunch buffet.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>         <mark> 23/4/2024 (Tuesday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work as the waiter as usual for the breakfast buffet.</p></li><li><p>Then, I continued to work as a waiter for the lunch buffet.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>          <mark>24/4/2024 (Wednesday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Firstly, I prepared all the utensils and cutleries which will be used for the breakfast buffet.</p></li><li><p>I checked all the food items which will be served during the breakfast buffet.</p></li><li><p>I prepared name tags for each food item which have been served at the breakfast buffet.</p></li><li><p>During the breakfast buffet, if some of the food items have been reduced, I informed the kitchen department to refill each of the food item.</p></li><li><p>After the breakfast buffet finished, as usual I cleaned the buffet area and at the same time, I also cleaned the tables of the guests.</p></li><li><p> I was assigned to work as a waiter for the lunch buffet which have been conducted at 12.00pm.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>          <mark>25/4/2024 (Thursday) (7.00am - 3.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>I prepared all the needed things which will be used for an event which will be conducted on tomorrow, Friday, 26th April.</p></li><li><p>I have been assigned to set up the cutleries on the guest's table.</p></li><li><p>Cutleries such as dinner spoons, dinner forks, dinner plates and glasses, have been used for the set up of the tables.</p></li><li><p>Other than cutleries, tissue and water bottles have been put on the tables.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>          <mark>26/4/2024 (Friday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work as a waiter for an event.</p></li><li><p>The event was organized by the SUKSIS UUM.</p></li><li><p>The event is more like a dinner party.</p></li><li><p>Before the event starts, I have prepared all the utensils and cutleries which are needed for the event.</p></li><li><p>During the dinner party, as a waiter I checked the buffet area and if there are any food items which have started to reducing means, I immediately went to the kitchen area and informed the chef.</p></li><li><p>After the guests are finished with their meal, I take the plates and other cutleries from the tables.</p></li><li><p>After collecting the cutleries from the guests, I have to put it and the back side of the hall which is called as preparation room. There I have separate each of the cutleries based on its variety.</p></li><li><p>&nbsp; For example, I have to arranged the dinner plates all one side, baby plates all another side and same goes to other cutleries also. I have to separate them according to the variety of the cutleries.</p></li><li><p>After the event ends, I have to clean the banquet hall.</p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>          <mark>27/4/2024 (Saturday) (7.00am - 3.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to set up the banquet hall. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to bring some tables and chairs to set up the banquet hall for a dinner party. </p></li><li><p>After setting up the tables and chairs, I started to set up the utensils on the tables. </p></li><li><p>Utensils such as spoons, forks and goblets have been arranged properly on the tables. </p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>          <mark>28/4/2024 (Sunday) (10.00am - 6.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to set up a meeting room.</p></li><li><p>The set up is based on a classroom set up.</p></li><li><p> I used long tables and chairs for the classroom set up.</p></li><li><p>I arranged three chairs for each table.</p></li><li><p>After I have finished with the meeting room set up, I was assigned as a waiter for a lunch buffet.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p></li></ul><p><strong>     </strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

I also cleaned the buffet area and the tables.</p></li><li><p> After the lunch buffet ends, I was assigned to work as waiter for a tea break.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>       <mark>30/4/2024 (Tuesday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work as a waiter for an event. It is a dinner party. </p></li><li><p>Before the event starts, I helped my collogues to set up the hall. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to arrange the cutleries on the table. Among the basic status of hotel rooms are :- </p><p>- OC = Occupied and cleaned </p><p>- OCC = Occupied </p><p>- VC = Vacant and clean </p><p>- VD = Vacant and dirty </p><p>- CO = Check out </p><p>- OOO = Out of order </p><p>- DND = Do not disturb</p><p>- OD = Occupied and dirty </p><p>- OR = Occupied and ready </p></li><li><p>Then, Miss Junaidah also taught me regarding the room available forecasting. Basically, room available forecasting is a predictive tool which is used by the hoteliers to estimate the number of rooms which will be available for sale over a specific period. This forecast takes into account the total number of rooms in the hotel and subtracts the number of rooms that are expected to be occupied. </p></li><li><p>Miss Junaidah also taught me about the preparation of the maid report. Maid report is a housekeeping report which provides an overview of occupied with guest names and vacant rooms. Through the preparation of the maid report, the front office workers and the housekeeping staffs can easily know about the rooms which have or have not been cleaned, which indicates the housekeeping status, shows whether or not the laundry need to be changed in the rooms. </p></li><li><p>After the learning session with Miss Junaidah ends, I continued my work by cleaning of the restaurant "Mayang Sari". </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>19/5/2024 (Sunday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>I started my work today with the vacuuming work at the banquet hall of the EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to clean the restaurant. </p></li><li><p>I also cleaned the toilets which were located at the ground floor. </p></li><li><p>Then, I went with the front office worker to do the Manager on Duty report which is known as MOD. </p><p><br/></p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

Therefore, the housekeeping workers can easily identify the rooms which they have to clean up. </p></li><li><p>The manager divided the rooms equally to the housekeeping workers. </p></li><li><p>Totally there are 35 rooms which should be clean by the housekeeping department workers. Therefore, the manager divided the 35 rooms into 3 groups and one group was given 11 rooms to be clean up and each floor was given to the each group. </p></li><li><p>After getting the room report from the manager, I immediately went to my housekeeping group and started to clean each of the room. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>        <strong><mark>31/5/2024 (Friday) (9.00am - 4.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to do housekeeping work at the guest rooms. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to clean the toilets of the guest rooms. </p></li><li><p>I started to clean the mirror of the toilet.  </p></li><li><p>After cleaning the mirror of the toilet, I started to clean the toilet. </p></li><li><p>Then, I cleaned the floor and the bathroom. </p></li><li><p>I put two bath towels at the bathroom. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>       <strong> JUNE </strong></p><p><strong>        <mark> 1/6/2024 (Saturday) (9.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>I was assigned to work in the front office department.</p></li><li><p>Working in front office department is always a challenging task to do because there are many important tasks which should be done while working in the front office department. </p></li><li><p>My manager, Miss Junaidah introduced me to Mr Fikri. Mr Fikri is a senior worker who is working in front office department. My manager, Miss Junaidah told me that Mr Fikri will guide me through out my working period in the front office department. </p></li><li><p>My first day at the front office department started with doing the check out process. </p></li><li><p>Mr. Fikri taught me about the check out process which should be done through the application system of EDC Hotel &amp; Resort which is called as Integrated Design &amp; Build Sdn. In order to get early check in the guests should pay RM 50. </p></li><li><p>The time for the late check out of the guests starts from 2pm to 5pm. The rate of late check out is RM 50. </p></li><li><p>The check in process of the guests should be done through the IDP system. </p></li><li><p>The first step of the check in process starts with clicking the booking list. </p></li><li><p>After clicking the booking list, I asked the name of the guests to check the reservation of the guests. Other than name I also asked the identity card of the guests. </p></li><li><p>After checking the reservation of the guests in the IDP system, then I continued the check in process by inserting the information of the guests such as the full name for the guests according to the identity card, handphone number of the guests and the address of the guests. </p></li><li><p>After inserting all the information of the guests, I started to insert the important information under the market and billing sections. </p></li><li><p>After that, I started to print the registration card. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to key in the payment information of the guests by entering into the folio settlement section in IDP system. </p></li><li><p>At 10.30 pm I started to do the night audit process in order to close the account of the day. </p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

All these items were kept in a room in lobby. </p></li><li><p>After the guests bought some of the items from the lobby I have to prepare a cash voucher and I should fill up about the sales details of the items which the guests have bought from the lobby. </p></li><li><p>Date and amount of the item are the basic information which I have to fill in up in the cash voucher </p></li><li><p>After the sales, I have to key in the payment information of the sales from the room which is located at the lobby area. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>7/6/2024 (Friday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>I was assigned to do the reservation of the rooms for the guests who have contacted the front office department through phone calls. </p></li><li><p>I used the reservation form in order to complete the reservation process through the phone calls with the guests. </p></li><li><p> I asked for some basic information from the guests during the reservation process through the phone call. </p></li><li><p>Information such as the name of the guest, contact number of the guest, check in date and check out date, type of room which the guest prefer. </p></li><li><p>In order to confirm the rate of the room which have been reserved by the guest, I have to asked the guest whether they are UUM student or ex student of UUM or they are government staffs or they are corporate staffs or outsiders. </p></li><li><p>The room rates of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts are based on three types. </p></li><li><p>The price rate of the room is RM 120 for the guests who are the students of UUM. </p></li><li><p>Meanwhile, the price of the room is RM 130 for those who are working as government staffs. </p></li><li><p>Finally, RM 150 is the room price for those who working in corporate sector. </p></li><li><p>Outsiders, foreigners and common people who are not in the UUM students and government staffs categories will be charged under the corporate category which is RM 150 per night. </p><p><br/></p></li></ul><p><strong>        <mark>8/6/2024 (Saturday) (9.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to do the check out process of the guests. </p></li><li><p>There are some major steps which should be done in order to complete the check out process of the guests. </p></li><li><p>The first step of the check out process starts by entering into the cashiering menu. </p></li><li><p>Then, I should insert the room number of the guests. </p></li><li><p>After inserting the room number of the guests, I clicked the folio check out menu. </p></li><li><p>After entering into the folio check out I clicked the check out menu in order to complete the check out process of the guests. </p></li><li><p>After clicking the check out menu, I have completed the check process of the guests by printing the payment receipt of the guests. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>       <strong><mark>9/6/2024 (Sunday) (9.00am - 3.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to do the room housekeeping work. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to clean the rooms at the 4th floor. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to do the housekeeping room with a senior worker. </p></li><li><p>The senior worker guided me and thought me about the cleaning of the rooms. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to clean the toilet of the rooms. </p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

4.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today was the most challenging day for me personally because I have to clean up 14 rooms. </p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to do cleaning of the rooms at the 2nd floor, 3rd floor and 4th floor. </p></li><li><p>I started my work with the cleaning of the toilet. </p></li><li><p>I checked the toilet tissue roll. </p></li><li><p>If the toilet tissue roll was wet or it is almost going to finish means I changed a new toilet tissue roll. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to do the bed. </p></li><li><p>There are several steps that need to be followed during the bed making at the rooms. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I removed the bed sheets.</p></li><li><p>Then, I put on the first bed sheet on the bed and tuck it nicely. </p></li><li><p>Then, put the second bed sheet. </p></li><li><p>Put on the blanket and make sure it's not covering the whole surface. </p></li><li><p>Then, I folded the second bed sheet on the blanket. I folded it into two inches first. </p></li><li><p>After that, I started to fold the blanket together with the second bed sheet. </p></li><li><p>I used the envelop folding method.</p></li><li><p>After completed the bed sheets and blanket folding process, I have put the pillow at the head of the bed. </p></li><li><p>After putting the pillow at the head of the bed, I started to place the bed spread onto the mattress and pillow together. </p></li><li><p>After following all these steps, finally I checked whether the bed looks clean and tidy or not.  </p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>        <mark>24/6/2024 (Monday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I continued my data inserting work. </p></li><li><p>I created tables inside the excel sheet. </p></li><li><p>After creating the tables I continue to insert the details inside the tables. </p></li><li><p>Basically, my work is to insert all the details of the bills and receipts. </p></li><li><p>The staffs who are working in different departments usually buys the things which are needed to their respective department. </p></li><li><p>After the staffs bought the things or products which ae needed to their departments, they have to hand over the bills or receipts of the things which bought. </p></li><li><p>The staffs have to hand over the receipts or bills to the accounting unit. </p></li><li><p>The accounting unit have to keep all the receipt or bills safely. </p></li><li><p>The workers of the accounting unit should keep all the bills or receipt into a file. </p></li><li><p>If the staffs have used their own money to buy the things which are needed to their departments, they can claim the money which they have spend to buy the things. </p></li><li><p>The staffs can only claim the money if they have the receipts or bills. </p></li><li><p>The money claiming process of the workers will be conducted by the Accounting Unit. </p></li><li><p>I created three columns in the tables. </p></li><li><p>The first column is for the numbers such as 1, 2 ,3 and others. </p></li><li><p>In the second column I have inserted about the  explanation of the receipt or bill. For example, if the bill is about buying vegetable items for the kitchen I will write as "vegetables". Then, in the third column have inserted the total price of the items. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>25/6/2024 (Tuesday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I started my day in the accounting department with doing some photo copying work. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to do photo copy of some important papers and documentations of the accounting department. </p></li><li><p>After I am have finished the photo copying work I was assigned to do the checking of the stocks of stationary items. </p></li><li><p>My co worker from the accounting department brought me to the room where all the stationary items have been kept. </p></li><li><p>All these stationary items are used by the staffs of the administration department. </p></li><li><p>I was given a form.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Week 14 : 1/7/2024 - 7/7/2024</strong></p><p><strong>        <mark>1/7/2024 (Monday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>I was given some basic kitchen works.</p></li><li><p>I was assigned to cut some vegetables. </p></li><li><p>After cutting the vegetables, I started to cut fruits. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was assigned to help the head chef during the preparation of the dishes. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>        <strong><mark>2/7/2024 (Tuesday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>Working at the kitchen department is always a very challenging task for me because I am not so good in cooking but I will try to give my best in the all the works which are given to me in the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>After I joined the kitchen department, I was introduced to the staffs who are working at the kitchen department of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>Mr. Hairim is the head chef of the kitchen department and followed by the assistant head chef, Mr. Sharin.</p></li><li><p>Other than the head chef and the assistant head chef, there are four cooks. </p></li><li><p>Mrs. Suhaini, is the one who is in charge for preparation of the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>Meanwhile, Mrs. Wan Muhaini is the one who is in charge for the preparation of pastry items such as cakes, bread puddings and desserts. </p></li><li><p>Mr. Azzammudin, is in charge for the preparation of the chicken, meat and beef items. </p></li><li><p>The head chef, Mr. Hairim gave me a simple and basic instruction before I started to work at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>Mr. Hairim told me that I should wash hand before I start to do my work at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>He also told me to keep the kitchen area always clean.</p></li><li><p>The most important instruction which was given by Mr. Hairim was about the hygiene. Mr. Hairim told me to always follow a proper hygiene routine during the work time in the kitchen department.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>       <strong><mark>3/7/2024 (Wednesday) (9.00am - 5.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today is the second day of my work at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>Basically, the kitchen department is divided into four sections, which are cold kitchen, hot kitchen, butchery and pastry. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to help the chef during the cooking process. </p></li><li><p>I prepared the all the needed ingredients and other important things which were needed for the cooking. </p></li><li><p>All the dry food items were kept in the store of the kitchen. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to give the chef other ingredients or things if the chef ask me. </p></li><li><p>After all the food items have been prepared, I was assigned to shift all the foods into the  aluminum trays. </p></li><li><p> After shifting all the food items, I  wrapped all the food items with the plastic wrapper. </p></li><li><p>After wrapped all the food items I brought it to the hall. </p></li><li><p>After brought all the food items to the hall, I kept all the food items in the buffet. </p></li><li><p>Before the guest starts to eat I took off all the wrappers which have been wrapped onto the aluminium trays. </p></li><li><p>During the meal time, I was in charged of checking the buffet area. If the food items were decreasing I am the one who have to refill the food items into the aluminum trays which were located at the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>After the event finished, about 10.30 pm I cleared all the trays from the buffet area and brought it to the kitchen. </p></li><li><p>All the trays, plates and cups which were used during the event will be washed by the steward team. </p></li></ul><p>         </p><p>        <strong><mark>4/7/2024 (Thursday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to do some basic cuttings of the vegetables. </p></li><li><p>I cut the carrots into a small pieces. </p></li><li><p>The name of the cutting is called as small dice. </p></li><li><p>Then I also cut the carrots into slices. This type of cutting is referred as julienne. </p></li><li><p>After the cutting of the carrots, I continued to cut the cucumbers. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to help the chef who is responsible to prepare the pastry items. </p></li><li><p>I helped the chef to cut the cakes and to put cream on to the cakes. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>       <strong><mark> 5/7/2024 (Friday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After I entered the kitchen, I checked the menu of the day. </p></li><li><p>After checking the menu, I was assigned to wash the eggs. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to cut the vegetables according to the head chef's instruction. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cutting of the vegetables, I was assigned to prepare garnishing for all the food items. </p></li><li><p>Basically, garnish is referred to the ingredients which were used as decoration accompanying a prepared food item or dish. </p></li><li><p>Onions, carrots, spring onions and tomatoes are usually used for garnishing. </p></li><li><p>My head chef taught me to cut the carrots into flower shape. </p></li><li><p>The carrots which have been cut into flower shape will be used as one of the garnishing items of the dishes which will be served to the guests. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>6/7/2024 (Saturday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>After entered into the kitchen area, I immediately washed my hand. </p></li><li><p>After washing my hand I started to check the menu of the day. </p></li><li><p>Arab rice, mandy chicken, beef haneeth, fish tikka masala were the main course for the dinner. </p></li><li><p>Meanwhile, assorted slice cake and bread butter pudding were prepared as dessert and mix fruits are prepared as a appetizer. </p></li><li><p>Today's dinner was prepared for 50 pax. </p></li><li><p>I started my work for today by doing my usual work which is cutting of the vegetables. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cutting of the vegetables, I continued to peal the onions. </p></li><li><p>I went to the store to take two sacks of onions. </p></li><li><p>I cut two types of onions which is holland onion and red onion. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to prepare some ingredients for the garnishing process. </p></li><li><p>After all the dishes are fully prepared I shifted all the dishes to the aluminium trays. </p></li><li><p>After shifting the dishes to the aluminium trays, I wrapped the dishes with plastic wrapper. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was assigned to shift all the dishes to the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>During the dinner time I was assigned to check the buffet area and I refilled the dishes which have been decreased during the meal time. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark>7/7/2024 (Sunday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>I started to put the beans which is used for the nasi lemak into a tupperware. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was also assigned to put anchovies into the tupperware. </p></li><li><p>Then, I continued to cut some vegetables according to the style which have been taught by my head chef. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I started to cut the tomatoes into slices. </p></li><li><p>After I cut the tomatoes I continued to cut the carrots into brunoise.          <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>       <mark> 8/7/2024 (Monday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to prepare all the ingredients which were needed for the cooking process. </p></li><li><p>I assisted the chefs during the cooking process. </p></li><li><p>I helped the chefs to take some important ingredients which the chefs needs during the cooking process. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to cut the vegetables. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cutting of the vegetables, I started to shift the dishes to the buffet area. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>       <strong><mark> 9/7/2024 (Tuesday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After I joined the work the first thing that I always do is washing my hands. </p></li><li><p>After washing my hands I started to check today's event schedule. </p></li><li><p>The total number of pax for today's dinner is 55 pax. It means 55 people will be attending today's dinner. </p></li><li><p>According to the event schedule, one some style should be prepared for the VIP table and other guests will be served through buffet style. </p></li><li><p>Basically, buffet style is one of the most popular style of food service, where variety of dishes presented in a line and the guests can take the dishes themselves from the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>Arab rice, roosted chicken, beef haneeth, fish tikka masala, mix cut fruits, assorted slices cake, bread butter pudding, coffee, tea and cordial are the dishes which were served for today's dinner. </p></li><li><p>I did my usual works today which is cutting of the vegetables and pealing of the onions. </p></li><li><p>Then, I also started to wash the eggs and put all the eggs in a proper place. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>       <strong><mark> 10/7/2024 (Wednesday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After I entered the kitchen, I checked the event schedule. </p></li><li><p>After seeing the information about the dishes for today's dinner I started to do my works as usual. </p></li><li><p>I helped the chef to cut the fruits.</p></li><li><p>Fruits are used as appetizer for today's dinner. </p></li><li><p>Watermelon, dragon fruit and orange are the fruits which were served to the guests. </p></li><li><p>After I have completed the cuttings of the fruit, I started to do other works such as assisting the chefs during the preparation of the dishes, cutting of the vegetables and I also help to arrange all the food items in the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>I was also in charged of checking of the dishes. </p></li><li><p>If there are any dishes which have been reduced I have to refill it up. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>        <strong><mark>11/7/2024 (Thursday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After coming to the work, the first thing that I always do is washing of my hands. </p></li><li><p>After washed my hands, I started to check the event schedule for today's dinner. </p></li><li><p>13 dome sets were prepared for this dinner event. </p></li><li><p>As usual I was assigned to help the chefs during the preparation of the dishes by helping them to take the ingredients and things which are needed for the cooking. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was also assigned to prepare some vegetables and fruits for the garnishing after all the dishes are fully prepared. </p></li><li><p>Items such as onions, spring onions, orange and carrots are used for the garnishing of the food items. </p></li><li><p>I also helped the chefs to carry the domes sets from the kitchen area to the hall. </p></li><li><p>Today's dinner was served for 100 pax. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>       <strong><mark> 12/7/2024 (Friday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today as usual I was instructed by my head chef to come to the work at 2.00pm </p></li><li><p>Immediately after entering the kitchen I washed my hands first. </p></li><li><p>After washing of my hands I started to check the menu of the day for today's dinner event. </p></li><li><p>totally, 40 guests attended today's dinner event. </p></li><li><p>2 dome style sets has been prepared for the VIP's.</p></li><li><p>For other guests they can take their dishes from the buffet area which have been prepared at the hall. </p></li><li><p>As usual, I helped the chefs to cut vegetables. </p></li><li><p>Then, after all the dishes are fully prepared I put all the garnishing items onto the dishes to make it looks even more colorful and tastier. </p></li><li><p>Then, I wrapped all the food items with the plastic wrapper. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to check all the dishes during the dinner event, if there are any dishes which have been reduced I should refill it up.  </p></li><li><p>After the dinner event ends I took away all the food items from the buffet area and kept it in the kitchen. </p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>        <strong><mark>13/7/2024 (Saturday) (7.00am -          <description><![CDATA[<p>        <strong><mark>15/7/2024 (Monday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm)</mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to prepare side ingredients for the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>Butter, soy sauce, fried onions,  and mayonnaise sauce are the side ingredients which should be prepared for the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>Fried rice, fried noodles, scramble eggs, toast bread, vegetable salad, tea and coffee are the dishes which have been prepared for the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to cut the vegetables. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cutting of the vegetables, I was assigned to help the chef during the cooking process. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>      <strong><mark>  16/7/2024 (Tuesday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After I entered the kitchen, I washed my hands first. </p></li><li><p>After washing my hands I checked the event schedule in order to check the dishes which should be prepared for the dinner. </p></li><li><p>As usual, I started the day with cutting of the vegetables. </p></li><li><p>I cut onions, cucumbers, cabbages, spring onions, carrots and mustard leaf. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the vegetable cuttings, I was assigned to wash the eggs. </p></li><li><p>After I have done washing the eggs I kept the eggs in the refrigerator. </p></li><li><p>According to the instruction of my head chef I cracked some of the eggs and put it into a bowl. </p></li><li><p>Then, I kept the bowl inside the refrigerator. The egg yolk which I have cracked into the bowl will be used for tomorrow's breakfast. </p></li><li><p>After all the dishes are ready to be served, I wrapped all the dishes with the plastic wrapper. </p></li><li><p>After wrapped all the dishes I was assigned to take all the dishes to the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>During the dinner event I was also assigned to refill the dishes. </p></li><li><p>After the dinner event is over I was assigned to bring back all the dishes from the buffet area. </p><p><br></p><p><strong><mark> 17/7/2024 (Wednesday)(2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today my head chef asked me to clean the store room which have been located at the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to arrange all new products and ingredients which have been delivered today. </p></li><li><p>I started to arranged the egg trays. </p></li><li><p>Then, I arranged the dry food items. </p></li><li><p>Among the things which have been kept at the store room are chili sauce, tomato sauce, fruit cocktail tin, strawberry jam, prawn flavour sauce, wheat flour, condensed milk, curry powder, instant lasagna, rice, holland onion, Indian onion, instant noodles, cooking oil, bakery items and many dry food items. </p></li><li><p>After arranging the things at the store room I checked the event schedule to know about the dishes which will be prepared for the dinner. </p></li><li><p>White rice, ginger chicken, beef curry Ala Thai, three flavored fried fish, "rendang rusa", mixed fried vegetables, fruit salad and fruit cocktail are the dishes which have been prepared for the participants.</p></li><li><p>Meanwhile, different dishes have been prepared for the Vip's who will be attending the event. </p></li><li><p>Arab rice, butter prawn fry, chicken fry, roasted deer, mixed fruits, fruit cocktail, pudding and cakes have been served for the Vip's of the event. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to check the buffet area through out the event.</p></li><li><p>My job is to refill the dishes which have been reduced at the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>The dinner have been served for 341 pax. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>       <strong><mark> 18/7/2024 ( Thursday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today after I entered into the kitchen I straight away started to check the event schedule. </p></li><li><p>Today's dinner is prepared for 78 pax. </p></li><li><p>The price for each pax is RM 20. </p></li><li><p>The total price for the dishes which have been prepared dinner event is RM 1,560.00.</p></li><li><p>Nasi lemak and fried noodles have been served for the breakfast. </p></li><li><p>Meanwhile, dishes such as corn rice, "ayam masak merah" and beef curry were served for the lunch. </p></li><li><p>Arab rice, chicken curry, "daging masak merah", mixed vegetables, "kangkung belacan", "mixed fruits,"bubur pulut hitam, assorted slice cake, coffee and tea were served for the dinner.</p></li><li><p>I stated my day with my routine job which is cutting of vegetables.</p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cutting of the vegetables I was assigned to help the head chef during the cooking process. </p></li><li><p>After all the dishes have been prepared I am the one who was assigned to put the garnishing items on the foods. </p></li><li><p>Among the garnishing items which were prepared are red chilli, spring onion, corrorts and onions and fried onions. </p><p><br></p></li></ul><p>       <strong><mark> 19/7/2024 ( Friday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today all the essential things and products which will be used for the cooking process have been delivered to the hotel back yard. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to take all that products and things to the kitchen department. </p></li><li><p>After bringing all the things and products to the kitchen department, I took all that things to the store room. </p></li><li><p>After bringing it to the store room I started to arrange all that things in the store room.</p></li><li><p>I also checked the event schedule in order to check about the dishes which will be prepared for the dinner event. </p></li><li><p>Chicken rice, hainan fried chicken, "ikan masak sambal", cucumber, tomato salad, chicken soup, fried cabbage, mixed fruits, bread pudding and slice cakes are prepared for the dinner event. </p></li><li><p>I was also assigned to wrap all the dishes with the wrapper. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was also assigned to bring all the dishes to the buffet area. </p></li></ul><p><br></p><p>        <strong><mark>20/7/2024 (Saturday) (2.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>After entering into the kitchen department I washed my hands first.</p></li><li><p>I started to cut the vegetables according to the instructions of the chefs. </p></li><li><p>I also checked the event schedule to check about the dishes.</p></li><li><p>Arab rice, mandy chicken, beef haneeth, fish tikka masala, mixed fruits, assorted slice cakes, bread butter pudding and orange juice are prepared for the dinner event. </p></li><li><p>RM 30.00 was charged for each pax. </p></li><li><p>Totally, there were three different dinner events were organized in different locations at the EDC hotel. </p></li><li><p>BBQ dinner was conducted at "Mayang Sari" restaurant and the other two dinner events were conducted at the banquet hall and at the "Seri Beringin" restaurant. </p></li><li><p>As usual I was assigned to bring all the dishes to the buffet area. </p></li><li><p>Then, I was responsible to do refill of the dishes at the buffet area during the dinner event. </p></li></ul><p>        </p><p>       <strong><mark>21/7/2024 (Sunday) (8.00am -          <description><![CDATA[<p>        <strong><mark>22/7/2024 (Monday) (8.00am - 4.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Since there was no any dinner events today, I was instructed by the head chef to work at the morning shift which is 8.00am. </p></li><li><p>After entering the kitchen, I immediately checked the event schedule to get to know about the dishes which will be prepared for the breakfast and lunch. </p></li><li><p>Today the kitchen department have to prepare breakfast and lunch for three different groups which is ILKKM, IBS and UTLC. </p></li><li><p>Totally there are 31 pax in the group of ILKMM while IBS contains a number of 41 pax and finally UTLC consists of 30 pax.          <description><![CDATA[<p>       <strong><mark>26/8/2024 (Monday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to do the tags for the pigeon hole which was located at the hall of the office. </p></li><li><p>Pigeon hole refers to the space efficient furniture pieces consisting of small holes on shelves or cabinets where we can place our  items in as it best suits our location.</p></li><li><p>My manager instructed me to create the tags for the different types of forms which will be always in use by the staffs of EDC Hotel &amp; Resorts. </p></li><li><p>I also created tags for the each department of the hotel, so that staffs of each department can put some of the related forms in the shelves which are prepared for their departments. </p></li><li><p>I have prepared the tags for the departments such as front office, maintenance, sales and marketing, housekeeping, finance, kitchen, security, food and beverage. </p></li><li><p>Other than tags of the departments, I also prepared name tags for the different types of forms which will be used for various purpose.  </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>27/8/2024 (Tuesday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to refill the stationary items which were kept at the store room. </p></li><li><p>This store room is located at the office area. </p></li><li><p>All the stationary items which are used at the office will be kept at the store room. </p></li><li><p>The assistant accountant, Wan Nursyafiqah is the store keeper for the store room which is located at the office area. </p></li><li><p>I was instructed by the manager to refill some of the newly bought stationary items in the store room. </p></li><li><p>Two boxes of A4 papers and A3 papers were added newly at the office's store room. </p></li><li><p>Other than A4 and A3 papers, stationary items such as pens, pencils, clips, staplers, files, liquid papers, sticky flags, white board dusters and double sided tapes were kept at the office's store room. </p></li><li><p>I arranged all the stationary items properly according to the tags which were pasted on the shelves. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>28/8/2024 (Wednesday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to do the tags for all the document files which are used by the accounting department, sales and marketing departments and by the manager. </p></li><li><p>Since the EKSA concept was started to be implemented around UUM, the management of UUM have created a book in order to give a detailed explanation regarding the concept of the EKSA at UUM. </p></li><li><p>In that book, UUM have given designs for the tags which should be used for the document files. </p></li><li><p>Therefore, I was assigned to copy the design which was given in UUM EKSA book. </p></li><li><p>I copied the design in the power point slides and I started to edit it according to the file names which are used by the accounting departments, sales and marketing department and by the manager. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>29/8/2024 (Thursday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I continued to do the new tags for all the file documents which is used at the office. </p></li><li><p>Yesterday I already copied the EKSA concept based design in power point and today I started to edit the names of the file document which were used by the office staffs. </p></li><li><p>I started my work by doing the tags for all the document files which are used by the accounting department staffs. </p></li><li><p>Market list, card stocks Agoda booking, petty cash, invoice, CT ledger, cash counter collection and credit card counter collection are the title of the tags which I have done for each document file at the office. </p></li><li><p>After I edited all the tags in the power point, I immediately started to paste the tags onto the file documents based on the titles of the file documents. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>30/8/2024 (Friday ) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the public area. </p></li><li><p>I started to clean all the meeting rooms. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to clean the banquet room. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the cleaning of the banquet room, I immediately started to clean all the toilets at the ground floor. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>31/8/2024 (Saturday) (Public Holiday) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Public holiday was given due to the Independence Day of Malaysia. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong>SEPTEMBER </strong></p><p><strong><mark>1/9/2024 (Sunday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I continued to do the tags for the file documents which are kept at the office. </p></li><li><p>Yesterday I already finished pasting the tags for all the files which are used by the staffs at the accounting department. </p></li><li><p>Today I started to do the editing work of the tags for the file documents which are used by the sales and marketing department. </p></li><li><p>Event order, receipt, menu, memorandum, data base and cancel event are the titles of the file documents which are used at the sales and marketing department. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the editing work of the tags, I started to print it. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the printing work, I immediately started to paste the tags onto the file documents. </p></li><li><p>After I have finished pasting all the tags, I immediately started to rearrange back all the file documents in the shelves. </p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>       <mark> 2/9/2024 (Monday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p><ul><li><p>Today I was assigned to help the assistant accountants to take out some old files from the shelves and transferred it to the office store room. </p></li><li><p>After bringing all the old accounting files, I started to arrange it according to the years. </p></li><li><p>After finish arranging all the old files in the office store room, I started to update the details of the laundry service in the excel document. </p><p>  </p><p><strong><mark>3/9/2024 (Tuesday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to continue the EKSA related works. </p></li><li><p>My manager instructed me to create a big daily calendar by using the recycle items. </p></li><li><p>I started to do the daily calendar by using a cardboard box. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I cut the box into one long piece. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to edit the dates and months in the word document. </p></li><li><p>I started to do the dates first in the word document. </p></li><li><p>I started to type all the dates from 1 to 31. </p></li><li><p>After typing all the dates I started to type the months. </p></li><li><p>I typed the months from January to December. </p></li><li><p>After typing the months and dates I immediately started to type the years. </p></li><li><p>After I am have finished typing the months, dates and years, I immediately started to print out it. </p></li><li><p>After printing out the dates, months and the years, I continue to cut it and laminate it. </p></li><li><p>After laminating it, I started to paste the papers of the dates, months and years on the cardboard box. </p></li><li><p>I used the EKSA design for the background of the calendar. </p></li><li><p>After I have completed the calendar using the recycle items, I pasted it on the notice board of EKSA. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>4/9/2024 (Wednesday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to do some accounting works. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I started to insert all the billing details in the excel document. </p></li><li><p>I was assigned to insert all the information of the bills which have been by given by the staffs of various departments of the hotel. </p></li><li><p>The  head chef and the food and beverage head always buys the essential items which is used in their department such as raw materials and other items. </p></li><li><p>The staffs will always uses hotel money to buy the items for their departments. </p></li><li><p>During the purchase of the items they will take bills for all the purchasing items. </p></li><li><p>Then, the bills will be sent to the accounting department. </p></li><li><p>All the bills will be pasted in white papers. </p></li><li><p>Then the total amount of each bill will written in the bill papers. </p></li><li><p>After that, all the details of the bills will be inserted in the excel document. </p></li><li><p>Information such as date of the bill issued and the bill amount will be inserted in the excel document. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>5/9/2024 (Thursday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to do photocopy of some important forms that have been given by the assistant accountants. </p></li><li><p>After I am done with the photocopying work of the forms, I continue to do some other works. </p></li><li><p>As usual I was responsible of inserting the information regarding the laundry items which have been given to the laundry service. </p></li><li><p>As usual I started to insert basic information such as the date of the laundry items have been delivered, the name of the laundry materials and the amount charged for each of the laundry items and the total amount of all the laundry items according to each date. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>6/9/2024 (Friday) (7.00am - 3.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to work at the housekeeping department. </p></li><li><p>I cleaned all the guest rooms.</p></li><li><p>I cleaned the toilet and bathroom of the guests rooms. </p></li><li><p>I also cleaned the mirror of the toilet. </p></li><li><p>I cleaned the window of the guests rooms. </p></li><li><p>I collected all the rubbishes from the guests rooms. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>7/9/2024 (Saturday) (3.00pm - 11.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was shifted to the public area. </p></li><li><p>Firstly, I started to clean the landscape. </p></li><li><p>Then, I started to clean the corridors. </p></li><li><p>After cleaning the corridors, I started to clean the "Sri Beringin" restaurant. </p></li><li><p>I also cleaned the banquet hall.</p></li><li><p>I vacuumed all the meeting rooms. </p><p><br/></p><p><strong><mark>8/9/2024 (Sunday) (8.00am - 5.00pm) </mark></strong></p></li><li><p>Today I was assigned to do some basic office works. </p></li><li><p>I was instructed by the manager to prepare the Event Order form for the upcoming events of the hotel. </p></li><li><p>I started to do the event order by inserting some of the basic information such as the date and schedule of the events. </p></li><li><p>The event schedule contains of some important details such as date and time and every activity which will be organized during the event. </p></li><li><p>The menu of dishes which will be given during the events is also recorded in the event order. </p></li><li><p>Other than that, the financial details is also recorded in the event order form.</p></li><li><p>The amount of the events is also recorded in the event order form. </p></li><li><p>The setting of the hall is also recorded in the event order form. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p></li></ul>]]></description>
