I started implementing this strategy in Remote Synchronous and Asynchronous classes. I have never learned so much about my students nor made such deep connections. I felt honored to be trusted by my students who genuinely share much more than prompted to.

YES, we can develop meaningful connections with students when we teach online courses! Students shared their lives and amazing pictures of their families, romantic partners, graduations, hospitalizations, and lovely fur families. These bios and conversations allowed to individually assist students in many areas including referring for Single Stop mental health counseling.
