In "Pyramus and Thisbe" had a big burden in the way of their love ... their families. Stated in paragraph 2 line 5 "They longed to marry, but their parents forbade." Pyramus and Thisbe lived in the same house that was separated by a wall. They were able to communicate through a hole in the wall.

In Romeo and Juliet also had a burden in the way of their love... their families. The Capulet family and the Montague family were each others foes and did not get a long. Stated in the prologue line 5, "From forth the fatal loins of these two foes". The families had history with each other way before their love. Romeo and Juliet were the last children of each others families. They communicated through Friar Lawrence and the Nurse which is like "the little chink" aka the hole in the way in Pyramus and Thisbe.

In "Pyramus and Thisbe" She plunged into her heart the sword that was still wet with his life’s blood. (Similar to Juliet using Romeo’s dagger.) In the text it says "She saw his sword fallen from his hand and beside it her cloak stained and torn. She understood all. “Your own hand killed you,” she said, “and your love for me. I too can be brave. I too can love. Only death would have had the power to separate us." This relates to the Romeo and Juliet situation because Juliet was willing to die/ commit suicide for her love Romeo.

In both stories, the two lovers had a way of communicating. In Romeo and Juliet the nurse served as the telephone between the two. In "Pyramus and Thisbe"
the way that the two lovers talk was the hole in the wall. Since the two lovers in both stories could not be together they had to figure out ways to communicate. The clock struck nine when I did send the Nurse.

In Act 2, scene 5 lines 1-5 Juliet said "In half an hour she promised to return.

Perchance she cannot meet him. That’s not so.

Oh, she is lame! Love’s heralds should be thoughts,Which ten times faster glide than the sun’s beams,Driving back shadows over louring hills." This quote shows the importance of how the nurse helped Juliet and Romeo communicate.

In both stories, so much could've different had the "Romeo" character in the situation had just waited a few more seconds.
Due to both male characters jumping to conclusions, both them and the "love of their life"'s life were lost. In Romeo's case, he was sleep-deprived and hysterical, in Pyramus' case, he was just hysterical, but the conclusion was still the same for both of them.
In Act 5 Scene 1 line 37-39, Romeo states: "Well, Juliet, I’ll lie with you tonight. Let’s see how. Destructive thoughts come quickly to the minds of desperate men!" In Pyramus and Thisbe, Pyramus states, "It is I who killed you. Now, you shall drink my blood too."
