I am SO excited to incorporate Tour Builder into our classroom lessons in December. This is going to keep students engaged as they learn about six countries around the world. Students will be able to map their "journey" and reflect on what they have learned about that country using Tour Builder while they collaborate with their small group. This series of lessons will promote global awareness, map skills, and collaboration all while using technology. Using this format to teach these skills instead of having students create a scrapbook of information as I have done in the past will reduce copies and paper usage and will provide a more engaging experience for students, which in turn keeps students on task and interested in the content. This platform was very easy to use and will be easy for my second graders to use with little assistance. I am looking forward to this series of lessons!

I am also excited to use this in class. Being in a Foreign language class, sometimes we get lost in focusing on the language and loose sight of the larger picture that includes culture and knowledge about the actual countries that speak the language. We will use this to have kids explore important cities and historical sites and create their own tours to teach each other about these locations. I found that the platform is very easy to use and should be able to be done without too much help once it has been explained.

I am excited to try this mapping in my classes. Not only can I use it to incorporate the target language and vocabulary into my Spanish classes, it will also serve to help the students reflect on culture, where they are in the world and how they fit in as global citizens. It helps me as an educator because it helps open the student's eyes to the world around them. Often times they expect the teachers to "teach" them about culture, but a true appreciation is really only cultivated through experience. This is one way to "experience" culture without travelling to the country.

The platform was very user friendly and due to the students' knowledge of Google apps it should be pretty intuitive. High school students should be able to accomplish this assignment on their own with little technical direction from the instructor.

Very interesting tool to use in class. I do plan to use this lesson plan with my Spanish for Native Speakers class. I am a bit nervous how the final product will come but I think using new technology tools that the students have not been exposed to will engage them in the lesson

Tour Builder is a useful digital tool to combine spatial awareness to material that is being learned. While the lesson that I created is for a level 1 class, I can definitely see using it in other classes with other lessons, including novels and exploring Target cultures.
