Why do companies and people in general use GMO products? Which countries have banned GMO

It makes it easier for companies to sell and distribute their products. It makes it easier for companies to produce products by inserting certain nutrients to the food. Genetic modification can improve the characteristic of a food, like better disease resisting. People use it because they are practical and appealing. Farmers use it because it can allow them to protect their crops against some types of herbicides. More than 35 countries have banned GMO's, and among these countries we can find Algeria, Austria, Croatia, Ecuador, France, Denmark, Greece, Russia, Turkey, Kenia, and many others.

3 PROS VS 3 CONS OF GMO'S

Pros:
"1. Less resources are needed for GMO crops and animals, making them economically easier to farm.
2. The genetical changes of GMOS lower the risk of crop failure, and make crops better resistant to extreme conditions normal crops wouldn't be able to handle.
3. GMO's can provide a better nutrition by modifying them in terms of mineral or vitamin content."

Cons:
"1. GMOs can pose significant allergy risks, as genetic enhancements often combine proteins not contained in the original organism, which can cause allergic reactions for humans.
2. Some GMOs have built-in antibiotic qualities that enhance immunity, but eating them can lessen the effectiveness of actual antibiotics.
3. GMOs are not always tested thoroughly, which leaves out enough time to determine all of the risks of the product."
Sources:
https://responsibletechnology.org/gmo-education/health-risks/
https://www.labmate-online.com/news/news-and-views/5/breaking-news/the-pros-and-cons-of-genetically-modified-organisms-gmos/31400
