         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>GROUP DISCUSSION</strong></div><div><br>Strategies adopted by each country:<br><br></div><div><strong>MALAYSIA &nbsp;</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(i)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; initially we setup mega vax center and expect people to walk in and take vax. but for the rural and remote area, it is difficult for them to come to the vax center. So Malaysia adopted the strategy to go and visit the rural areas.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(ii)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The use of single dose so the rural people don’t have to go out twice to get the second dose.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(iii)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Appoint various agencies to help the enforcement of health SOPs.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(iv)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; The setup of mega quarantine center which helps ease the utilisation of public hospitals.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>BRUNEI</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(i)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Organise visit to rural areas and people with special needs.</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(ii)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Distribution of food rations and medicine, medical devices for people who are affected by covid.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(iii)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Impose movement restrictions.&nbsp;</div><div>&nbsp;</div><div><strong>MYANMAR</strong></div><div>&nbsp;</div><div>(i)&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Dividing workforce into 2 groups – one work from home and the other group from office, alternately.</div><div>&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Share your country's key strategies in managing the pandemic&nbsp;<br><br>Cambodia – Establishment of the national level steering committee and make the top-down decisions for the prevention and response activities. By doing so, COVID-19-related activities are more coordinated.<br><br></div><div>Malaysia – The Prime Minister addresses every day at 5 pm to the public about the key points in COVID-19-related activities and makes a press release once a week about the improvement in COVID-19 control, directions for the public, declaration of movement control order, and so on.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Myanmar –The COVID-19 response activities as a National concern and adoption of a whole government approach. Establishment of the National-Level Central Committee for Prevention, Control, and Treatment of COVID-19. Increasing the number of COVID-19 testing laboratories. Closing of in-bound commercial flights depending on the spread of COVID-19 at that time, sealing of land borders, enforcing strict quarantine regulations, implementing partial lockdowns, banning mass gatherings, mandatory use of face masks<br><br></div><div>The Philippines – Adoption of a more localized and contextualized COVID-19 response and consequence management system. Empowerment of the Philipines’ Regional Task Forces to address the varying degrees of response in different regions of the Philippines so implementation is faster and more tailor-fitted to the needs of the regions. Regional Task Force meetings are conducted twice a week to closely monitor the situation on the ground.<br><br></div><div>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;One unique strategy their country has adopted ​<br><br></div><div>Cambodia- Through donations from developed countries and the procurement of vaccines from many sources, the Government of Cambodia vaccinated the public. Also, take measures to enhance public trust in COVID-19 vaccination.<br><br></div><div>Malaysia – 18 years and above are eligible for COVID-19 vaccination. Astrazeneca, Sinovac and so on.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;Every government does its best for its citizens and we cannot compare one another. Factors such as limited resources, everything should be considered.<br><br></div><div>Myanmar – During the developmental stage of the COVID-19 vaccine in the world, Myanmar tried to get vaccines from different sources including the COVAX facilities. Through donations and procurements, Myanmar vaccinates people aged above 60 years and above at the first stage, 18 years and above at the next stage, and so on. We also vaccinate school-going age (students). Provide Booster doses for the public as well. Astrazeneca, Sinovac, Sinopharm and Sputnik V.<br><br></div>]]></description>

Share your country's key strategies in managing the pandemic&nbsp;<br><br>Cambodia- The government established National Committee for Combating Covid-19 under the wise leadership of Samdach Techo Prime Minister Hun Sen and Inter-ministerial committee to combat Covid-19 headed by the minister of Health. The two committees could ensure a strong coordination within the government to lead, launch and promote anti-virus measures including awareness raising, testing, contact tracking and border entry controls.&nbsp;<br><br>2.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;One unique strategy their country has adopted ​<br><br>Cambodia- Two pronged interventions: (1) to maintain lives of Cambodian people and to ensure hard-hit private businesses stay afloat and (2) to keep implementing vaccination strategy based on pragmatic, sensible but firm and flexible principles</div>]]></description>
