It’s harder than you would think to learn Spanish online because the class lacks some of the interactive and face-to-face aspects of a typical classroom, but with dedication, it can be done. I feel like it helps that I can choose the time that best suits me so that I’m not trying to learn new material when I’m sick or tired. A lot of courses make slides repeat so that notes take longer, but I feel like I was provided with just the notes, no ‘fluff’. I also liked doing the RLC because they helped with reiterating the information and allowed me to get a different explanation so I could get a better understanding of the material. I also think it was helpful that the quizzes were not the same set up everytime. Some would be listening, some would be reading and answering questions, some would be fill-in-the-blank and I think this kept me working my new knowledge different ways. I think a way I will continue to improve my Spanish will be by listening to Spanish podcasts and exposing myself to things in Spanish more often. She would also give very specific instructions for assignments so that it was harder to mess up on something that could ruin the whole assignment.
