A report found that almost 932,000 kids younger than 5 had been sent to the hospital between the years 1999 and 2008. That means that around 100,000 kids were treated a year. It is possible that there are many more, but they did not go to the emergency room which means they were not used in the data.

The suction cups will be built onto the stairs so they do not fall off or get sucked up when using a vacuum. 

The suction cups will also help resist some dirt or dust that gets underneath and onto the carpet. 

By using a vacuum, it can suck up most of the dirt in the suction cups. Also using a wet towel will help.

If people began to fall, the suction cups will hold them down so they can catch themselves. But, they will not be so strong that you have to slowly pick up your feet one by one, but enough to save yourself from falling. 

There will also be a railing on each side of the stairs to help. 

The suction cup carpet will work with shoes on, but not as much. 

Just like wearing shoes, skipping over steps may make it a little more difficult but, it is still lessening the force. 

There is something called a suction cup grab bar, which you suctions to the wall while you are holding on to it.
