Dear Mr Prakash, Happy Teacher’s Day! Ever since I graduated from WSSS, there were many attempts to go back and visit but there wasn’t really a free time for me to come back and relieve the memories in WSSS. However, whatever you teach us, be it through Physics with your signature hand pose and through life lessons, I still remember. I do struggle from time to time during my poly lectures when it get boring and think how much effort you tried to make physics fun. Now I’m working in a fragrance company as a perfumer assistant and the economy is not doing very well, all I could think of that in WSSS, life was simpler and happier. I wished I could return back to see you and the rest of 4F, but in this time, I wished you good health and continue to encourage younger students in their studies. Happy Teacher’s Day, Mr Prakash :)

To Ms Aw, Mr Zhong, Ms Anisah, Ms Gina Lim, Ms Nisa, Mdm Siti Zamiara, Mr Andy Wong, Ms Lin,
I want to say thank you very much for your sacrifices and inspiring students over the years. Its been a decade since I walked through West Spring's gates as a Sec 1 boy and yet, it seems like it was just yesterday. I really treasured the memories and times I had in school and I would like to give a special shout out to my former teachers. You may not remember every student you taught but what I can say is that your teaching has molded and shaped me into the person I am today. A teacher's influence doesn't stop within the four walls of a classroom. It touches the hearts and minds of students. Certainly, the teachers who taught me did.
With that, Happy Teachers Day!

Dear Ms Jacinthia Loh,
Yun Yi here (4B'17 & Festive Drums Alumni)

It has been around 3 years and up to this day, I've never forgotten about the kindness and concern you had shown me during my 4 years in West Spring. Through the Festive Drum CCA, you have always been encouraging and helping me out (especially when I'm such an introvert & can't keep with drumming practice as quickly as the guys ).

And at Sec 3 & 4, I was actually so happy that you were my Form Teacher & MT Teacher! So actually I got a lot of time to be taught under you. Your lessons have always been so engaging and fun (even though I was very weak in MT haha) and at times when I was struggling a lot (academic, social, Drumming, etc.) you always reach out and ask about my well being.

Though you may not remember me much, every small kind gesture of yours has never been wasted. Especially when I was being bullied by some people during that time. Honestly, I would not have made it throughout those 4 years if it was not for your guidance.

Graduating soon with my Diploma in Food Science (SP), as I wait for my Internship at Symrise as a Food Technologist I just want to say this path would not have been open up to me if you did not become my teacher back then. I'm both nervous and excited for my internship and looking back since I was able to pull through those dark moments during secondary school, then this new chapter in life should not scare me

Thank you, Ms Loh, for guiding and staying by my side, with your encouragement I have grown to become a happier and stronger person than I ever was before. I will always cherish those moments and be grateful for being my teacher

Yours sincerely,
Yun Yi of 4B'17 & 24 Festive Drum Alumni (2017)

I last seen her at the exhibition last year. I'm admired by her artwork which is done by soft pastel so I decided to try and learn whenever I'm free. It is therapeutic. But, I have seen a teacher in shopping mall many times but I'm shy to say hi to her. Either she don't recognize me or don't remember me. Please say hi to me whenever you see me in public.

Firstly, we would like to wish all the teachers in West Spring a Happy Teachers' Day!

We made a lot of great memories during our time in WSSS. A lot of it was due to all the fun courses we had. Though we don't remember all the content we have learnt, but we remember the fun games and interaction we had with the teachers.

Earlier this year before the pandemic took a turn for the worse, we had a chance to relive the fun memories we had there and we found out that some of the teachers who taught us are still there. Thank you Mr Liu, Mr Prakash, Ms Chong, Ms Siti, Mr Kok, Ms Aw, Ms Sarah Chan.

We also found out that Mr Liu will be retiring this year. We want to wish him a happy retirement and thank you Mr Liu, for inspiring us with his enthusiasm for math and making it easier for us to understand the concepts. We also enjoyed his dry humor and we hope that he will continue to be healthy and happy even after retirement.

Thank you Mr Prakash, you never fails to amaze us with your enthusiasm, even after 10 years. You are still as lively and energetic as ever. We frequently follow your instagram posts and you inspire us to be fit and healthy. You were always so ready to join our class activities even though you were not our form teacher. Thank you for going the extra mile to includes our names in your worksheets and striving to keep in contact with each and everyone of us. We hope that your energy will be inversely proportional to your age.

Ms Chong, thank you for being the most dramatic teacher we ever had. You always had stories to tell and I don't think that I will forget that you told us you lived in UK where the 2012 London Olympic was to be held. Your passion for the language did flow over to us. We remembered that you told us to practice our Chinese by rapping to Jay Chou's song. This is all to say that you have impacted us greatly and we still keep in mind the lessons you taught us whenever we have to write essays.

To all the teachers in West Spring, stay healthy, stay safe!

Thank you so much! ps. i love you mr goh se u <3 but honestly i think that you are one of the best if not the best teacher i have ever met.

Dear Mr Prakash and Mr Liu, you have made a deep impression and difference in our lives. Now being a teacher in the special education school, I see so many values you've taught when I was a student. I hope to have the passion like yours, never giving up on your students no matter how far they lag behind.
Won't ever forget how my grades were from F9 to B3 for Pure Physics, and A1 or 2 for both E and A maths. Thank you and Happy Teacher's Day!
