The town of Hamlyn was once full of rats. They ate all the food, troubled sleeping babies, and made a lot of noise. The people had grown tired of the rats but were unable to do anything. Even the cats were not able to kill the rats.

One day, a queer fellow with piercing eyes, came to town. He was called the Pied Piper. He went to the Mayor and asked him, “What will you pay me if I free your town of every single rat?” The mayor offered fifty pounds to the Pied Piper.

Happy with the offer, the Pied Piper started playing his pipe. Hearing the shrill, keen note, every rat came out from its hole and started following him. The Pied Piper kept on playing his pipe and the rats followed hirn. The piper walked up to the harbour with millions of rats behind him and led them into the water and waited till every rat had drowned.

Now the town was free of the little devils and the people were very happy.

After all the rats were dead, the Pied Piper returned and asked the Mayor for his money. The Mayor said that he could only give him twenty pounds for such an easy job. Now that the rats were dead, the Mayor thought that there was nothing to worry about. But the Pied Piper wanted to teach him a lesson. This time he played a different tune. Hearing his music, the children came out of their houses. They started following the piper, dancing and shouting. The elders watched in disbelief as the Pied Piper led the children far, far away. The Mayor sent his men to look for the piper and bring the children back but none could find the lost children.

düşmesiyle Aybars çok hüzünlenmiş.Bu sırada Cüceler prensesi beklerken bir haberci eve ulaşmış.Prensesin uykuya daldığını ve neden olduğunun bilinmediğini prensesi uyandıran kişiye istediği herşeyin verileceğini söyleyen bir haberciymiş bu.Haberci gittikten cüceler arkadaşlarının telaşına düşmüş.Bu sırada aşlıktan midesi kazınan Aybars kulübeye dalmış ve yardım istemiş.Cüceler bu fakir görünen yabancıya güvenmemişler ancak prensesi kurtarma konusunda onlara yardım edebileceğini düşünmüşler.Eve girdiği gibi dili tutulan Aybars gördüğü elmaslar, zümrütler ve altınlar karşısında şok olmuş.Yeniden hayalleri yeşeren Aybars oracıkta cüceleri öldürüp herşeye sahip olmak istemiş fakat cücelerin konuşmalarını duyunca cücelerin güvenini kazanıp onları tek tek avlamanın daha kolay olacağını düşünmüş.Cüceler Aybars'a Pamuktan bahsetmişler ve Aybars hiç düşünmeden evet demiş.Sağlam bir plan yaptıktan sonra gece prensesi kaçırıp burada tedavi etmelerini uygun görmüşler.Gece olunca saraya doğru yola koyulan Aybars, Cesur, Bilgin ve Huysuz prensesi kaçırmışlar.Aybars girdiği sarayın eski saray olduğunu fark etmiş fakat çaktırmamış kendisi de olayı çözmeye çalışmış.Prensesi kulübeye getirdikten sonra sabaha kadar prensesi uyandırmaya çalışan bilgin güneşin doğmasına yakın prensesi uyandırmış.Böylece Aybars cücelerin güvenini kazanmış.Sabah olduğunda prensesi bulamayan kraliçe her yere adamlarını yollamış ve kendiside prensesi aramaya çıkmış.Güler haftaları kovalarken cücelerin Aybars'a olan güveni artmış ve hep beraber yaşamaya başlamışlar.Aybars ile prenseste birbrlerine aşık olmuşlar.Aybars yeniden hedeflerine ulaşmış ve hayallerini gerçekleştirmeye yaklaşmıştı.Bundan sonra cüceleri tek tek avlayıp servete sahip olup prenses ile mutlu bir hayat sürecekti.Aybars cüceler ile tek tek gezilere çıkmaya başladı.Önce Cesur'la gezi ye çıkan Aybars Cesur'un zafını bildiğinden onu bir ayı ile güreşmek için gazlamıştı.Cesur dayanamayıp ayıya saldırmış boğuşmuşlar fakat bu adil bir dövüş olmadığı gibi Cesur'un da sonu olmuş.Ev halkına çok üzgün olduğunu Cesur'u ayı parçaladığını söylemiş.Daha sonra Meraklı ile geziye çıkıp ona bilmediği bir mantarı yedirmiş ve onu öldürtmüştü.Sonrasında Uykucu'yla ava gitmiş uykucuyu uykusunda bıçaklamış ev halkına da saldırıya uğradıklarını söylemiş.Bu ölümler karşısında şüphesi artan Bilgin olayı kavramaya çalışıyordu.

   Sıradaki kurbanı Neşeli olan Aybars Neşeli ile birlikte geziye çıkmıştır.Bilgin gizlice evde kalanları alıp bunları ilzemeye koyulmuştur.Başta herşey normal giderken Aybars'ın Neşeli'nin suyuna bir iksir karıştırması tüm ölüm olaylarını açıklıyordu.Neşeli iksirin etkisiyle kahkahalar içinde acı çekerken Huysuz, Bilgin, Prenses ve Şapşal çalılıklardan çıka geldi.Ama Neşeli'nin can vermesine engel olamadılar.Aybars soğuk kanlılığını koruyordu çünkü üç cüce ve belki çıtkırıldım bir kadın onun için kolay lokmaydı.Derken kraliçe ve askerleri ormanın derinliklerinden çıka geldi.İlahi adalet.İki tarafında niyeti belli olmuştu.İki tarafta Aybars'ın kanını istiyordu.Kraliçe meydanda olan biteni bağırarak anlattı.Buna öfkelenen prenses askerlerden birinin elinde taşıdığı aynayı kırdı ve büyük bir cam parçasını aybars'ın göğüsüne sapladı.Büyüyü yaptıran kişinin kanıyla yıkanan ayna sonsuza dek sürecek olan karabüyüyü bozdu ve Toybars kurtuldu.Aybars'ın oracıkta can vermesi krk gün kırk gece sürecek bir şenliğin başlamasına neden oldu bu şenlik hem adalet hem evlilik mutluluğuydu.Toybars ve Pamuk yıllar boyu sürecek aşk hikayelerinin kahramanı oldular.Ve gökten üç elma düşmüş.Kırmızı olanlardan bir tanesi bu masalı okuyana, yine kırmızılardan birtanesi Aybars'ın başına ve yeşil olanı da               Yazarın başına...: )

In the morning, I lifted Hansel out of bed like I was holding his hair and went to the right barn and locked him in the barn. I took Gratel to the kitchen and immediately told her to cook for his brother.,I told her to feed him and make him fat. Because I said I'm gonna eat Hansel. Raif: Raif is a man who has no goal in life and lives in the world of books and dreams. He is so scared to show his true self that he gives up drawing because of that. He thinks that no one will understand him or pay attention to him. He can easily make himself believe in the worst possibility happening and live his life without knowing the truth and have trust issues.

Maria: Maria is a strong woman who can stand on her own feet and not needing anyone else. She has trust issues with men according to what she experienced. She is into drawing and is a part time artist but she doesn’t want to be a full timer because she thinks she would be controlled by the society and she doesn’t want that. She is a person who cares so much about her independence.

Rasim: Rasim doesn’t have any big goals and he just tries to find a new job and wants to put his life on a track. He is kind of similar to Raif.

The secondary characters of the book are Hamdi, Raif’s wife and Frau van Tiedemann.

Maria: At the beginning of the book, Maria was defensive of herself even though she felt something was different about him, she didn’t trust him so easily. Throughout the book she had struggles about believing Raif but she finally realised how he cared about her so much. When they fell apart she didn’t wanted to give up the most important thing left from him but at the end she gave herself up.

Once upon a time. There was a magnificent palace in one country. There was a very evil queen in this palace, but the queen was not happy at all. All she ever wanted was a bad girl with red lips, round eyes, plump cheeks. One day, when the queen was sewing her torn dress, a needle stuck in her hand and blood dripped. Meanwhile, she  made a wish and her wish came true. She gave birth to a girl. While they lived very happily in the palace, the queen became ill and someday closed her eyes to the world.
The King married another woman. This woman was beautiful and very kind.
This woman soon gained the love of everyone in the city. Of course, the woman is very happy. Meanwhile, the princess has grown up, a very ugly, bad-hearted young girl.
The Princess never liked her stepmother. One day, the evil princess confronts her magic mirror;
- "Mirror mirror tell me who is the beautiful girl in this world?" she said.
The mirror:
- " The Queen is prettier than you." İt said.
The princess was very angry.

 Eve geldiğinde, annesine ineği sihirli fasulye karşılığında verdiğini söylemiş. Jack'in annesi bunu duyunca çok sinirlenmiş. Demiş ki "ah oğlum! Sen ineğimizi verdin ve adam sana 5 fasulye mi verdi ? Adam seni kandırmış oğlum ! Fasulyeyi pencereden dışarı  fırlatmış. Jack çok üzülmüş ve akşam yemeğinden önce uyumaya gitmiş.

Ertesi sabah Jack uyandığında ve pencereden dışarı baktığında, 5 sihirli fasulyenin büyüyüp göğe yükseldiğini görmüş. Fasulyeye tırmanmış ve gökyüzünde bir saraya ulaşmış. Burada bir dev ve karısı yaşıyormuş. Jack evin içine girmiş ve devin karısını mutfakta bulmuş. Jack, "Lütfen bana bir şeyler hazırlayabilir misiniz ? Çok acıktım." demiş. Karısı ona ekmek ve biraz süt vermiş. Jack yemeğini yerken, dev eve gelmiş. Dev çok büyükmüş ve Jack çok korkmuş. Jack dehşete kapılmış ve içeri saklanmış. Dev karısına seslenmiş. "Karıcım, ben burada insan kokusu alıyorum. Yemin ederim onu yakalarsam acımam yerim." demiş. Karısı " Burda insan falan yok" demiş. Dev yemeğini yedikten sonra odasına çekilmiş, altın para çuvallarını çıkarmış, saymış ve bir kenara bırakmış. Sonra uyumaya gitmiş.  Dev uykuya dalınca, Jack saklandığı yerden çıkmış, bir çuval altın parayı almış ve fasulye sırığına tutunarak aşağı inmiş. Evde paraları annesine vermiş. Annesi de demiş ki "Oğlum niye bana yuvarlak taş parçaları getirdin, bunlar ne böyle ?" demiş. Jack ise "Anne bunun içinde altınlar var ne taşı onların hepsi altın. " demiş. Sonra annesinden alıp bakmış ki ne görsün gerçekten altın çuvalının içinde sadece taşlar var. Bunu gören Jack tekrar devin sarayına gitmeye karar vermiş.

Altınların taşa dönüştüğünü gören Jack fasulye sırığına tırmanıp tekrar devin evine gitmiş. Jack devin karısına yiyecek bir şeyleri olup olmadığını sormuş, ama Jack devin karısının verdiği yemeği yerken dev eve dönmüş. Jack korkarak kalkıp yatağın altına saklanmış. Dev, “Karıcııım, ben burada insan kokusu alıyorum. Yemin ederim onu yakalarsam ham diye yerim!”  diye bağırmış. Karısı, “Burada hiç kimse yok!” demiş. Dev, yemeğini yemiş ve odasına gitmiş. Jack tekrar kızıp odasına çıkmış.

Birkaç gün sonra Jack bir kez daha fasulye sırığına tırmanmış ve devin evine gitmiş. Üçüncü kez, Jack devin karısından biraz yiyecek istemiş. Bir kez daha, devin eşi ona ekmek ve süt vermiş. Jack yerken, dev eve gelmiş ve Jack hemen devden saklanmış.  Dev, “Karıcııım, ben burada insan kokusu alıyorum. Yemin ederim onu yakalarsam ham diye yerim!”  diye bağırmış. “Saçmalama! Burada hiç insan yok!” demiş.

Devin, güzel şarkılar çalabildiği sihirli bir arpı varmış. Dev uyurken Jack arpı almış ve tam gitmek üzereyken. Aniden, sihirli arp kendi kendine sesler çıkarmaya başlamış, “Efendim Yardım! Bir çocuk beni çalıyor! ” Dev uyanmış ve Jack’i arpla görmüş. Dev çok sinirlenmiş ve Jack’i kovalamaya başlamış ama Jack onun için çok hızlıymış. Jack, fasulye sırığına koşmuş ve hemen aşağı inmiş. Dev yorulup Jack'i yakalamaktan vazgeçip sarayına dönmüş. Sonra annesine "Anne artık zenginiz bu arp konuşuyor." demiş. Arpa "Konuş." demiş. Ama arptan ses gelmemiş. Jack aldığı herşeyin sahiplerini çok sevdiğini ve ona özel böyle yaptıklarını anlamış. Bunu anlayan Jack yarın sabah ilk iş olarak saraya gitmeye karar vermiş.

Jack sabah erkenden kalkıp fasulye sırığına tırmanmış. Devin evine gidip devin gelmesini beklemiş. Dev gelince Jack demiş ki " Ben senden altın çuvalını, altın yumurtlayan tavuğunu ve arpını çaldım ama yaptıklarımdan çok pişmanım. Onların seni sevdiğini anladım. Hepsini sana geri getirdim çünkü ne özellikleri varsa bunları sana özel olarak yapıyorlar. Bana hiçbirini yapmadılar. Bu yüzden sana hepsini geri veriyorum. Bir daha bişey çalmamaya bana ait olmayan şeyleri almamaya söz veriyorum. Senden çok özür diliyorum." Dev bunları duyunca Jack'i affetti ve onu geri getirdiği için ödüllendirmek istedi. Jack came to the giant house while he was eating. The giant was too big and Jack was scared. Jack was terrified and hid inside. The giant called out to his wife. "My wife, I smell people here. I swear to God if I catch him, I will eat." said. His wife said, "There's no man here." After eating his giant meal, he retreated to his room, took out sacks of gold money, counted it and set it aside. Then he went to sleep. When the giant fell asleep, Jack came out of hiding, took a sack of gold coins, and climbed down to the bean pole. He gave the money to his mother at home. His mother said, "Son, why did you bring me round pieces of stone, what are they like?" said. Jack said, "Mom, there's gold in it and they're all gold." Then he took it from his mother, and he could see that there were only stones in the golden sack. Seeing this, Jack decided to go back to the giant's palace.

Seeing the gold turn into stone, Jack climbed to the bean pole and went back to the giant's house. Jack asked the giant's wife if they had anything to eat, but Jack returned home while she ate the giant's dinner. Jack got up scared and hid under the bed. Dev said, ım My wife, I smell people here. The giant got very angry and started chasing Jack, but Jack was too fast for him. Jack ran to the beanstalk and went right down. Jack understood that everything he bought loved his owners very much and that they were doing this special for him. Realizing this, Jack decided to go to the palace first thing tomorrow morning.

Jack got up early and climbed to the bean pole. He went to the giant's house and waited for the giant to come. As for the giant, Jack said, "I stole your golden sack, your golden hen and harp, but I regret what I've done. I understand that they love you. "I promise not to steal anything again, not to take things that don't belong to me. I apologize very much." When Giant heard that, he forgave Jack and wanted to reward him for bringing him back. He gave him plenty of gold. He told him to come and ask for it when he needed it. And eventually Jack and the giant became very good friends.

  Bir gün Jack durumları iyi olmasına rağmen annesi ve ihtiyar babasında gizli inekleri satmak için pazara gitmiş. Daha sonra ihtiyar adamın bir ailesi olduğu aklına gelmiş ve onları da kendisine hizmet etmesi için yanına alacakmış. Ama bir de ne görsün ki! Jack sırığın ne olduğunu anlamadığı için baltayla fasulye sırığını kesmiş. Ve ihtiyar adam evine geri dönmemek üzere ölene dek tek başına yaşamaya mahkum kalmış.

After eating his giant meal, he retreated to his room, took out sacks of gold money, counted it and set it aside. Then he went to sleep. When the giant fell asleep, Jack came out of hiding, took a sack of gold coins, and climbed down to the bean pole. He gave the money to his mother at home. His mother said, "Son, why did you bring me round pieces of stone, what are they like?" said. Jack said, "Mom, there's gold in it and they're all gold." Then he took it from his mother, and he could see that there were only stones in the golden sack. Seeing this, Jack decided to go back to the giant's palace.

Seeing the gold turn into stone, Jack climbed to the bean pole and went back to the giant's house. Jack asked the giant's wife if they had anything to eat, but Jack returned home while she ate the giant's dinner. Jack got up scared and hid under the bed. Dev said, ım My wife, I smell people here.
