What are my goals in education – have they changed since I began this course?

When I started this course, my main goal was to become a kindergarten teacher, but I didn’t know much about creating a curriculum. Now, after reading a lot of materials, I have learned how to build a curriculum and find good resources to help with my teaching ideas. This new knowledge has changed how I view my goals and what I want to achieve.

My goals now include making a well-rounded curriculum that supports all areas of a child’s development, using proven teaching methods, and keeping up with new ideas in education. I also want to create a welcoming classroom for all children, work closely with their families, and keep improving my teaching by reflecting on my practices.

What are the three most significant things that I learned about learning / instruction / curriculum during this course?

I have learned that it’s important to adjust teaching to fit each student’s needs so everyone can succeed. Using interactive activities and group work makes learning more interesting and helps students remember things better. Also, building good relationships with students is key because it makes them feel valued and motivated to learn.

How do I see that what I learned in this course might influence me in my career as an educator?

I believe that as an educator, I will always strive to improve my knowledge and skills to help students reach their goals. Learning about how the brain works and finding reliable resources through engaging activities has shown me how educational innovations can make a big difference in teaching. Staying open to new strategies and continuously expanding my knowledge is important to me so I can create a better classroom and use effective techniques to teach kids.
