I come from Poland, but I have been living in The Netherlands for the last 12 years. 
I started working at the ISH in 2017 and I teach Dutch B in MYP and DP. I am also Subject Coordinator for Dutch B and Personal Project supervisor. 
I spend quite a lot of time doing sports, listening to music, binge watching Netflix and learning languages (currently revising French).

I have joined ISH this January. I am teaching MYP years 7,8, 10 and 11 currently.
This is my sixth month in The Netherlands. I am obligated to learn Dutch language and pass B1 language test so that is the primary motivation for this class. Secondly, I have planned to live here long so it is good to know the language to be able to communicate in different situations where you should know the language for example when your child's teacher is only communicating in Dutch with you. :)

We left London back in 2012 and moved to Nice, South of France, with a year in between in Singapore.  After years as a PA in London I took time off to support my husband's career and have small people, then set up my own business managing bands and working within the mad world of superyachts back in 2017. Covid turned our world upside down and we found ourselves leaving France during lockdown and arriving in NL in lockdown, so the first year here I was in mourning for the sun, the med and the mountains, but I've finally got over myself and have accepted my fate and now embrace this cold windy wonderland.
  
I am shockingly dreadful at languages, so Jamie, I'll give you a run for your money ;)

I'm originally from Kenya, and I speak swahili and gujarati. 
Later after I got married I moved to Austalia with my husband who was already based there with his work. We moved to Switzerland in 2008 and stayed almost 8.5years, were I had my 2 girls whom are at ISH as well.
We moved to New Jersey, USA after that and didnt take us long to agree that we missed Europe so we moved to Nethelands in 2019 and loving it so far apart from the rain.

I can speak and understand abit of German and this probably would be an advantage to some for Dutch but it confuses me and I can never get the  pronunciation right. I've tried Dutch conversation previously but I'm not that good at that.
So I hope I can learn something and make new friends while doing so.

I am a father of a young 17-year-old Hungarian. I was born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) and have lived on 4 continents. But now live and work here in Den Haag, The Netherlands. I have a passion for sports and currently play a little golf, volleyball,  tennis, and even some pool at the Haag 5 in town :) 
I speak and understand Spanish having lived and worked there. Looking forward to being part of these Dutch classes, although unfortunately, I seem to be missing some lessons due to other recent commitments. Just trying to catch up on the first lesson.
