So in the beginning I was really confused because her mother was crying like crazy. And when they said good bye she was an earth quake! I think she had been crying because something is going to happen when Bethany turns 13. So she’s scared and that’s why they have to leave Bethany at her aunts house.

One of my favorite passages is when the author talks about how Bethany was describing her hair in an essay and she states “ Anyhow tall and coltish sounds a lot better than tall and gawky, which is a more accurate description. I like this cause a lot of people do the same.

A metaphor I found in the book was “more like Humphrey dumpty now that I’ve fallen apart I don’t think anyone can put me back together again.”I like this metaphor because it makes a clear picture in my mind of how broken Bethany is inside. It also uses a character I know so it demonstrates a very good movie in my mind.

A interesting word I found from Double Identity was “Incognito.”Incognito means (of a person) having one's true identity concealed. This makes perfect sense for the story because tats what the book is about kind of.

Something that interested me in the story was when they said “He thought a clone would be the only one to possibly love him.”That’s kind of sad because it shows how he feels unloved. But the story is talking about a villain so I see where the author is coming from.

Double Identity

But I’m close enough to see Van Dyne clearly-Dalton Van Dyne the powerful, the terrifying,my own personal bogey man crying.this sentence touched me because it shows even the toughest of people can have emotion. This shows how the villain would always have a back story . He was on,y crying because he found out that Bethany’s parents never made his clone and selfishly made their own .in this case he has every reason to cry and be angry.i think it is sad that he is just now showing these emotions.

I think the author out this in the book to show that even the ones that betrayed you can still love you even when they are old and weak.i say betray because of how Bethany’s parents betrayed her with major secrets and lies.
