We are taught in school health class what is good for you to eat and what is not. We learn that what you eat, paired with physical activity is the key to remaining healthy. Yet, we don't apply those things to our lives. We watch how our parents eat, and what they drink, and most times mimic those habits. I think part of the issue is practicing good habits, but I also think it has to do with who is teaching us what is right. Things come so easy to the people of America, whether it be food, jobs, education. We have them all at the tips of our fingers, and therefore we continuously take them for granted. Part of the issue is our flawed education system, politically controlled and given a pittance to educate the our countries future. However, we as american citizens do also have a hard time appreciating the opportunities we are afforded.
