In the lintel there is a bas-relief depicting episodes from the life of San Geminiano for example his return in Modena.<br><mark>Porta della peschiera</mark><br>it was destined to the enter of the people and was sculpted between 1110 and 1120, with shoots with monsters and zoomorphic figures, the series of Allegories of the months,the Storie di re Arthur and some scenes taken from fairy tales with animals from the bestiaries (Roman de Renart), on the lintel<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Outside the pulpit staircase, there are early fifteenth century frescoes depicting two episodes from the life of St. Ignatius, bishop of Antioch.<br>During the restoration of the ancient wall paintings of the Duomo, a fresco appeared, beside the pulpit a fresco appeared, depicting the Madonna with the Child, attributed to Tommaso da Modena.<br>The fresco that is just below the pulpit, executed on the curved wall of the pillar, depicts the Madonna del latte, the fruit of the nineteenth-century repainting of a pre-existing Gothic composition.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Inside the Ghirlandina, on the fifth floor there is the so-called Stanza dei Torresani, once inhabited by the guards of the tower, where you can admire the important capitals.<br>On the top floor are the bells (the largest of which weighs over two tons), which mark the time in the city every day, and the seventeenth-century spiral staircase of wood leading up to the top of the tower.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Wiligelmo and Lanfranco</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><mark>Wiligelmo</mark> sculpted the reliefs of the Modena Cathedral around 1099 and was probably the architect responsible for building the façade and the front of the Modena cathedral. He is the most important master of Romanesque sculpture in Italy.<br><mark>Lanfranco</mark> was an Italian architect, of Romanesque age, whose activity has been documented since 1099 in the cathedral of Modena, his only certain work. His name is mentioned, in relation to the design of the cathedral, in a 13th century codex preserved in Modena and in the commemorative epigraph walled into the apse of the cathedral itself.</div>]]></description>
