As Kitten travels around the farm, we are introduced to many different animals and the sounds that they make. Children will enjoy identifying animal sounds as you read the book together. The imagery in this book helps children to follow along and predict what is to come next, because the next animal that Kitten is going to ask is always displayed one page before.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This comical book displays a young boys imagination and fun with his father. As the boy and his dad play Utilizing many descriptive words, Norman brings the crocodile hunt to life as the boy splashes in the pond. Varying fonts in the book help display for children the meaning and emphasis of certain words.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This is a great read with a fun surprise ending, perfect for the beginning of the school year or for a child who has to move to a new school. We follow Sarah through a difficult morning before the first day of school, where she really does not want to go. As Sarah's dad tries to get her ready for school, she tells him that she hates her new school because she does not know anyone. Once Sarah gets to school she is lead to her new classroom by the principle and introduce to the class, where we, the readers, discover that she is the new teacher! This book in particular is a good read for children because of the repetitive and song-like text that kids will enjoying reading aloud. It also has a wonderful message; Pete adores his new white shoes and as he steps in different things that change their color, instead of getting upset Pete decides to love them for their new color! This book is also a great way to discuss with kids what materials are involved in certain activities like playing baseball or making a kite.
