         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students, together with members of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, plan and create a Bush Tucker Garden together.&nbsp;<br><br>This involves some of the following acitivities:<br><br></div><ul><li>finding and deciding on the right area and position of the garden (things to consider are area and size of garden, shade/sun position, soil conditions)</li><li>drawing a map with garden beds and paths</li><li>drawing a design of the overall look of garden</li><li>learning about the local culture and how to implement it into the design of garden</li><li>measuring the area and calculating the seize of the garden and garden beds</li><li>creating a time line for the schedule of the project</li><li>Calculating the volume of soil needed for garden beds</li><li>Deciding which native plants to use based on the local area, conditions and traditions</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Love the Bush Tucker Garden idea for Swansea PS! So many tasks to link to Maths content and concepts with links to local Aboriginal culture.<br><br>The BTN video is a great way of introducing the concept to students. My daughters love BTN as I'm sure many students do.<br><br>I also found the Murri Maths Connecting to Country preso very useful. This would be great to use for school staff inservices, meetings, info sessions; and for supporting the development of a bush tucker garden at the school.</div>]]></description>
