We talked about patience and fairness how fairness is important for the class every day and how it is important for students to apply themselves. Also being patient with struggling students and how we try different methods to move that student forward and not just address the same behavior with the same unsuccessful method

Ryan Luu class

Ryan was organized and started the class off with roll and prayer. Good clear direction when started teaching. Students were attentive and engaged. Students then worked on the lesson about neurons and Ryan made his way around the room checking in with student groups. The students clearly knew the "routine" and easily transitioned in the activity. Ryan also checked in with groups and questioned their results/progress to ensure all students were working.

Rosie’s Class

Rosie started with prayer and lectured about the geography and history of European nations. She was quick to get students back on a productive path when they became distracted. I would like to take the ability to discipline and redirect my students to the proper path.

Jay’s Class

Jay started the class with prayer and introduced the lesson on factoring polynomials. He walked around the room as he lectured and continually called on students to keep them engaged. He was quick to correct and redirect any potential distractions. The lesson was laid out in an organized manner and communicated the concepts smoothly to the class. I would like to reflect that level of organization and classroom management in my own classes.

Ryans class

Ryan does a really good job of working his way around the room. He will check in with each group after he has presented. It made me think about my own class flow, and got me to focus on checking in with groups that are not asking questions. My self evaluation, was I may spend too much time confirming learning with the students who are asking questions. I need to go examine the work of students not asking or confirm with them they are understanding. I also now do not let students come to me with a questions, as they may be doing it just to skip the line of students questions.

What Rosie got me thinking about is how she manages her students when going over the lesson, or as they are working on it. I think I may be able to block out noise better than some, so it does not bother me as much. Rosie interacted quickly with students off task, when they are doing their work. It made me think I may need to address gettinh them on task sooner when working with others. I do a very good job of it if I am lecturing or interacting with the class together
