When writing it is better to make things straight and to the point and you read over what you wrote and try to sum things up and use words to shorten things.<br>2. Keep messages concise when communicating, ref Ch3. Not including a lot of needless words that don't contribute to the message.<br>3. Try to avoid adding extra information. Quantity does not mean quality.<br>4. Adding redundant words is unnecessary. Use only one word and get straight to the point.&nbsp;<br>5. Don't use repetitive messages, you will only loose your readers attention.&nbsp;<br>6. It is important to say what you mean in the fewest words as possible, however do not get caught up in condensing information. Use strong words to convey your message most effectively.<br>7. When communicating use action verbs. For example, "the responsibility of a proofreader is to identify mistakes". Whereas, "a proofreader identifies mistakes" is more concise.<br>8. Convert phrases or clauses and make them into single words, it will make your message more powerful.<br>9. Try to avoid unnecessary modifiers such as kind of, sort of, or basically because they serve no real purpose.&nbsp;<br>10. A lot of this passage focused on eliminating words and being more concise, but it is important to note that writing is about having the clearest words, not necessarily the least.<br><br></div>]]></description>
