In ABC company, Mr. Mehera had the role of a junior analyst. His work involved making copies or taking print outs of the documents related to his tasks quite often. While Mr. Mehera would make copies of the work-related documents, he would also use the facility for his personal work and sometimes for his friends and family as well, as it involved no cost. He thought taking prints every once in a while, just mere pages wasn't that big of a deal. No one in the company ever noticed it and Mr. Mehera continued to use his office resources for his personal work.

Nihal understands that he is part of a company, but also feels that the privacy of the app users should be protected. Impressively, reported $34.74 billion in quarterly revenues that grew at a rate of 7.35% on 12 May 2019. Moreover, Costco’s stock was trading at an impressive $269.14 a share on 3 July 2019.

Much of Costco’s success comes from the high level of customer service offered by satisfied employees. One reason why Costco can attract high-quality employees is its willingness to pay higher than average wages.

For example, Costco raised its base wage from $13 an hour to $14 an hour in 2018 to $15 per hour in 2019, Fortune reports. In contrast, the average retail worker in America makes between $7.25 and $9 an hour, job-applications.com reports. Meanwhile, the average US retail department manager makes $11 to $12 an hour.

Costco succeeds because it can attract the best workers. Additionally, Costco avoids labor trouble, high turnover, and conflict because its employees are happier.

A person works as a Quality Assurance Engineer at a large electronics company. He/She is responsible for the final testing of his/her company’s servers and is part of a team which decides when new products will be shipped to distributors for sale.

That person's company has a contract with another company which makes the chips which are incorporated into the servers his/her company makes. The business model for this product is to release a new generation server approximately every six months, meaning A person has a limited timeframe to conduct his/her Quality Control tests.

Because there is such a short amount of time between the release of each next new product, the Quality and Assurance department cannot perform every possible test on the servers to ensure they are defect free. That person will not ship a product if there is any possibility that the server could malfunction and cause physical harm to the customer. However, he/she will ship a product that has a higher likelihood of failure resulting in data loss for the customer, because he/she knows that if he/she doesn't, his/her company's competitor will.

Is this an ethical way to conduct business? How should he/she determine when to ship a product with known defects?

A XYZ company had many websites on the internet for separate businesses. A group of backend engineers were hired to maintain the websites. For one website which was responsible for customer service, the group of engineers which were hired, only one engineer(ABC) used to do his work properly and others were not that interested in their work. ABC took advantage of the situation and changed the coding of the website in such a way that on clicking on some of the buttons of the website, the customer would be redirected to another page(this would happen only once) and that redirected page would advertise another company's website/products and ABC used to get money (from the companies he is advertising)for doing this.
