It all began in 1887 , developed from a game called indoor baseball, first played in Chicago in 1887. It became known in the United States by various names, such as kitten ball, mush ball, diamond ball, indoor–outdoor, and playground ball.

Most men thought that sports were a little to much for women but with women being granted the right to vote in 1920 from the great depression in 1930’ s softball’s popularity began to grow .

The reason why we do not have a professional softball team is because due to covid -19 it was disbanded in 2021 after 2 cancelled seasons .

Yes softball is an international sport cause softball was introduced at the olympic games in Atlanta 1996 . They won subsequent of two titles , and the enjoyed their 22 game day streak , before they were beaten by japan in 2008.
