1. The main differences of the three videos that we´ve just watched are the purposes, the ambiance of stage, and also the reflections of their culture. It also shown the gradual changes of the dance´s improvements.
-Jay
a. The perfomers in the first video were costumed a vibrant attire which is evidently inclined and reflected with their culture. The dancers in the second video played a neat and complex steps that required to have a well preparation for each movement. Based on our observations, since the third video is something like a competition, a long grinded preparation really matters in order for them to retain the detailed movements.
-Jay
b. Ritual dances are used to give thanks to the blessings received by a particular place or group of people. They use this dance to salute and thank their respective gods. This dance is also used in ceremonies to pay homage. Ballroom dance is used for entertainment and fun. Ballroom dance also has a competition in which many dancers participate. Hip hop dance represents street dance. Silence and freedom symbolize hip hop. This dance is also used for entertainment. Hip hop is the most popular dance today. It is the most popular dance used even in contests.
-Alexander
c. According to what we believes in, the first video encompasses with the place or the stage that reflects to their culture. The dancers in the second video shows an affection to each other through well practised movements. Finally is the hip hop dance, it was performed with a mastered steps and movements that is platantly for a competition.
-Jay
d. The ritual dances is for the culture of their tribe, second is the performance and entertainment aspects, last is for the battle of which crews has the best of popping, locking and crumping in the contest.
-Miggy

1. In the first video, maybe it is a ritual or the dance that represent their culture. In the second video, it is like a ballroom or a group of couple dancing with each other. In the third video, It is a hiphop dance performing for the battle.

SET B
A. (Ednalgan) In the first video, preparation is needed because it is important in their culture and I guess they need to wear their attire for that event. In the second video, also need to prepare for the dance because they need coordination, to come up with a better result of dance they need to prepare the location and also the dance steps. In the third video, they also need preparation because it is a competition and for them to win they need to practice and prepare.(Caliwan) The tradition dance needed a lot of tools or equipment to perform their way of cultural appreciation through dance. They also need a lot of coordination to play their instruments. Ballroom dancinig takes a lot of dedication to perfect their dance and show their emotions to their partners. Hiphop dancing is one most popular dance in the world, many people practices their dances for months to present their piece.

B. (Ednalgan) The purpose of the dance in the first video is maybe to give thanks to their god. The purpose of the dance in the second video is to express love to each other. The purpose of the third video is to perform and win the battle. (Caliwan) Traditional dances is mostly about praising of their own god or it just the wait it is for their tribe. Ballroom dance was perform for the partner to accompany each other in the floor and showcase their emotions. A lot of people perform Hiphop to win competitions and hoping to dance in big stages.

C. (Ednalgan) The place where the people in the video dance looks like it is a sacred. The place where the people in the second video dance looks it a ground for the ballroom or for the ball event. The place in the third video is a battle ground. (Caliwan) Every movements on any dance is influenced by situations , place or even music. When the place is in the ballroom it is about two partners dancing, and probably they dance upbeat music when played and slow dancing when the music is emotional. Traditional Dance is mostly performed in provinces or schools to showcase the cultural meaning. Hiphop dance can be performed anytime and anywhere, as the dance is very versatile when it comes to place and music.

D. (Ednalgan) First video is for their culture second is for the ballroom and third is for the hiphop. (Caliwan) Traditional Dance, Ballroom Dance, Hiphop.

1. Difference between the 3 is Folk dance, Ball room and Hip hop freestyle.
A. The 1st video is about culture and traditional dances so they need to address makeup and set of clothes. I think that they dont need a lot of time for this as the locals know the moves and will accept it even when something goes off. 2nd video needed more time than folk dances as it CAN be slow or fast dance where footing, composition and deep coordination/relationship is needed in this type of dance. I think that even you know the moves of that dance itself it will be a little difficult to handle depending on your partner. I notice in the video that everyone is on their own pace where they can relax a bit, making their partner more comfortable and vise versa. The same with ball room dances Hip hop need a tremendous effort and coordination to make there moves more appealing and for me the hardest part of it is creating moves on your own with a BANG to the audience ( making hiphop culture more captivating.

B. Folk dance's purpose is to show a reflection of there culture. Ballroom's purpose is show there performance and entertaining aspects. Hip hops's purpose is freestyle dance where anyone can show of what they can do in stage/street dance, can include wide variety of style combinations that can be charming and attractive.
C.folk dance is influenced by old and traditional ambiance. Wide space area for the ball room and hip hop where they can perform anywhere as long as they can fit in that area.
D. first is traditional/local dance, second is ballroom dancing and Hip hop for the last

The dances being shown differ in style, genre and execution, because it each represented culture, entertainment and could also define a certain social even.

1. How do you suppose are they different in terms of the needed preparation?

The first video seemed like it was a one-day preparation. The second one, I think it was a week preparation. And the last one could take a month for them to master the dance.
-Amoranto

In terms of preparation the 1st vid has more props than the other 2, while the second video is just that every dancer is dancing in their prefered movement, and for the 3rd they need a lot of time to perform that dance.
-De Castro

Preparation is crucial whenever someone is set for performance. Among the three dances, the preparation for these differ in the complexity when performance comes. Warm-up is also important when it comes to complexity, but it varies on the style and execution of the performance of each dance.
-Fernandez

2. How are they different in terms of purpose?

The first video's purpose was like the group is asking for donations and they'd like to entertain people. The second video's purpose is for the pairs to not just perform but to feel the dance and have an affection to each other. The last group performed to compete in a competition and they also entertain the audience by releasing their flawless dance moves.
-Amoranto

The purpose of the 1st vid is for tradition, while for the 2nd its just to have fun, and for the 3rd is to compete and entertain.
-De Castro

Certain skills come more easily to some dancers than to others one may be an excellent jumper while another may have exquisite control and balance in slow sustained dance passages. The same choreography may also look completely different when executed by two different bodies. Thus, a dancer with very long limbs will make high leg extensions look exaggeratedly long while appearing slightly awkward in fast intricate footwork. Another dancer may have a great deal of energy and speed but be unable to produce a sustained and beautiful line in held positions.
-Xavier Delos Reyes

Each dance shown has a purpose

3. How are the movements of each dance influenced by the situation or the places where they are being presented.?

In the 1st video its like they are in the temple and dance because of their culture, while for the 2nd they are in some ballroom place like which they're just there to dance freely, and for the 3rd there are many audience which means they are there to perform, entertain and compete.
-De Castro

The first video is a dance that was symbolizing the people's culture in that particular area. It was very crucial for them to do it because it is their culture they are representing and they should not commit mistakes. The next dance showed natural yet elegant moves and showed affection to each other. The last dance, since it is performed on stage, there were audience cheering so the dancers might be getting some energy and confidence from them so they can show moves nicely.
-Amoranto

4. How are they different in terms of categories that they might fall under?

The 1st vid was a traditional dance, the 2nd is formal, and the 3rd is hip hop or breakdancing.
-De Castro

The first dance might fall to the category of Traditional or Cultural Dances, the next one is Formal Dances and the last is Hihop, krumping and breakdancing.
-Amoranto

     a. The first one was a traditional dance, most of the movements in their choreography are commonly used, as well as the use of props. The second one was more of a club oriented preparation. You can tell in the last video that they were dancing for a competition, they look like they had a more intense preparation.
     b. The first one aimed to follow their ancestors tradition/culture. The second one aims to project romance. The last one was to entertain in a competition.
     c. The first one was performed in a tribe so they we're very slow and respectful while dancing. The second one showed more rhythm because it was done by a lot of people. The last one was more elevated and intense because they are performing for a huge crowd.

First for the traditional dance they need to prepare the exact or appropriate dress to use or even the props. Second, the casual ballroom which can be performed by a partner and in terms of their preparation I guess it is just a normal ballroom dance without the need of preparing so hard. Third, as I watched the video, the kind of hip hop dance we watch is kind of performing in big competitions, so the preparation here is very extreme. They must need to practice each and every single step of the dance.

The first video I guess is a traditional dance from india so the purpose of this kind of dance is very deep. For the second video just like what I have mentioned it is kind of a casual ballroom so the purpose here is just to have fun. Now for the hip hop dance, i guess the purpose of this is to be able to win in the competition given that they do hip hop for the competition.

For the first video the way the person dancing was very limited the movement was very limited because the place they were performing was very small. On the second video the dancers move freely or widely because there is a big space allotted for them. Lastly for the third video the way they moved was very organized because it’s a competition and everything should be practiced very well.

Alindogan

What are the differences in the 3 dances that you have just watched?

The ritual; like dance, slow ballad, and hip hop.
a.
