I barely found the protagonist name in the last 4 chapters. The protagonist is a British (judging from context), 15 year old boy named, Christopher. Christopher wants to find out who killed the neighborhood dog, Wellington, a white regular poodle. What seems to get in the way of him is so far the police and his father, I think. It's hard to say since this story is being told by Christopher and he leaves out details of other characters in his story.
