The English King Edward I invades Scotland and becomes its ruler. Many Scots want to fight back but they do not have a leader. William Wallace becomes their leader when an English sheriff kills his wife. He turns from a peaceful farmer to a rebel. He forms an army of a few thousand men and beats the English. But King Edward is not stopped easily and the Scottish nobles do not want to support William for long. He wins the love and the secret love of the King’s daughter-in-law, Princess Isabella, but he cannot fight against England and his own countrymen.

I really liked Braveheart. I recommend it if you like historical novels. It is full of action. The vocabulary isn't very difficult so it is easy to read. I chose it because I saw the film in which Mel Gibson is the main character. I think the film is better than the book.

Name of reviewer: Juan Manuel Jiménez

He learnt to write plays by seeing and acting in plays written by others. Also he says that Shakesperare in every play describes the personality and appearance of his characters what seem real and included all kinds of people.

What do you think about the book?

I recommended tis book to everyone with an interest to know the plays of William Shakespeare. The author describes every play the action, the argument, the historical and political moment lived in the century XVI and early XVII in England but the author writes very little of Shakespeare's life, only he describes the play's characters to compare them with Shakespeare.

Name of reviewer: Rosa Mª Garcia
