I also took inspiration from Wala is life by Allara. This song starts of using modern day instrument, as you can hear a bass guitar playing. When the songs hit 0.36 seconds you can hear clap sticks which are an indigenous instrument. This ski where I got most of my inspiration from as I believe we should be implementing indigenous martials into our classrooms.

This activity gives children the opportunity to be as creative as they would like to be. They have to use movement to communicate with each other, which they do on a daily basis but might not realize that’s what they are doing. Children have ‘a hundred thoughts, a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking’ (no way. The hundred is there, Loris Malaguzzi). This activity allows children to use there hundred languages to communicate with their peers to tell the story of Tiddalick the frog who caused a flood.

This activity relates to my assessment task 2 because I could hear different animal sounds when completing my on-county visits. There was a pound that had ducks in it as if you listened closely, you could hair a frog that calls the pond home. I thought this would be a great way for the children to learn about what dram time stories are and what they mean to indigenous Australians.

This activity allows children to “Collaborate, be creative, use imagination, inventiveness, problem-solving, coordination and physical strength” (Let's Play Outside: The Importance of Pretend Play in Natural Settings, 2019). This activity allows children to explore how their bodies move and be creative in the way the present what they are trying to portray.

This activity went really well in my eyes, I was able to find a rain maker, clapping sicks and was able to write my own acknowledgment of county. When completing this activity, it would be a good idea to select 4-5 children who would be using the instruments as if everyone was given one each it could get really loud and you wouldn’t be able to hear the acknowledgment of county. This activity should be implemented in all centers around Australia as it is imported to teach young children the history of Australia and whose land we are on.

Music has always been a big part of my practice whether that be singing songs with the children or playing music though out the day. This unit has given more way for me to use music in the classroom with children.

This activity didn’t go 100% to plan, however this was a challenging activity to do with one person. This activity defiantly needs to be done with at least 5 people to be able to re-enact everything in the book. I don’t think this is an activity that everyone can do at one time unless you have the space to do it. After I would read this book and do the activity it would be grate to gather more dream time stories to share with the children as it is important to share indigenes stories. Before starting this unit, I didn’t have must understanding of movement in early childhood setting and I thought movement and dram where mostly the same thing. Now after completing this unit, I now understand that movement can be anything from a child dancing to them tapping their foot when they are sat up at the table.

This activity went as I planned it to go, it was challenging to fully complete this activity as I only had myself and one other person to help.

I think something to add to this activity would be cards with different pictures of nature on them so it is easier to copy and would be easier for young children to be able to recreate. As adults it was hard to come up with different posers to do to represent nature. In both the photos attached we are portending to be trees.

This activity wouldn’t be possible for all ages so when I am crating an activity or experiences for the children I educate, I will make sure I keep their ages in mind so I make sure it is age appropriate.

After completing this unit, I have a grater understanding of what drama means in early childhood settings and will take it into consideration when I am educating children.
