TNCs have tailored their range of products in their respective countries, increasing interest and demand, and thus profits. They have also now added new low fat and low sodium variations of their classic flavours, to cater for those who feel that their products aren’t healthy enough, in a society where health is an increasingly prominent issue, and eating healthily is a growing trend among consumers. TNCs use mediums such as social media, television, and the film industry to advertise new flavours, increasing consumer interest.
Flavours which are catered to a specific culture’s taste may also benefit the TNC in the fact that ingredients needed to produce this flavour may be cheaper in the target country, as opposed to having to import ingredients to mass-produce their products.
