Hello everyone! Welcome to this Masterclass Teaching Online Session. This is Tsegaye Arega, Lead-facilitator for this Cohort. You can call me "Tsegish." I have been working in Dire Dawa University since 2015. I did my bachelors degree in Construction Technology and Management at Addis Ababa University in 2015 and, master degree at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2019. I am a certified MC teaching online trainer, certified professional higher education teacher & Registered Professional Engineer. I have a good exposure in various project and team work activities. I like to share and discuss ideas with people. Socializing with people, listening music, traveling and reading books are few of my hobbies. I am here to take part the Co-facilitating roles and respond to your questions in the community forum and in some interactive sessions of the class. I found the Master Class session very interesting for me and I hope this online class will be interesting for you too and, I am very excited to see you all.

Welcome to the Master Class on Foundations for Excellence in Teaching Online. I'm Aragaw Hamza a lecturer at Dire Dawa University College of Medicine and Health Science Department of Anesthesia and the co-facilitator for this cohort. I have a B.Sc. in Anesthesia and an M.Sc. in Advanced Clinical Anesthesia from Jimma University (2012) and Addis Ababa University in 2020, respectively. I have had teaching experience since 2017 and have a higher diploma in teaching education. Furthermore, I have also taken a short course on e-learning course design and development. In addition, I have taken this Master class, and I have found it interesting. I hope you will also be interested. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and watching football. Hello all. Welcome to Masterclass Training. This is Tessfu Geteye, assistant professor of computer science and technology at Dire Dawa University. I am one of the co-facilitators of this class. I have few experiences with online teaching and learning, such as taking an ICDL TOT, completing masterclass training, Certified TOT for Master class training, and teaching online courses for my postgraduate students. I have served my university for more than 15 years as an academic staff member, delivering several undergraduate and postgraduate courses and advising thesis of several undergraduate and graduate students. I also have more than 9 years of experience in various positions at Dire Dawa University. Currently, I am working as an e-learning director to facilitate the e-SHE project on behalf of Dire Dawa University. In my free time, I like to watch football and listen to music.

Greetings all, welcome to this Master Class course. This is Girum Dagnaw from Dire Dawa University Institute of Technology. I obtained my BSc degree from Addis Ababa University and my MSc and PhD degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. I am now an assistant professor at the School of Computing at DDUIT. I have been working in the higher education sector for more than 18 years since the summer of 2005G.C. In the past, I have had offered multiple sessions of this class which has allowed me to learn a lot from trainees and other trainers alike. I will be with you in this cohort as a co-facilitator of the Master Class course.

I spend my free time watching documentaries and football. I also like to read novels.

Hello, esteemed facilitators and colleagues!

My name is Asres Alemayehu, and I am an MC trainee for this Master Class on Teaching Online. I work in the Sport Science Department under CNCS at Dire Dawa University (DDU), where I’ve been since 2015/16. You can call me "Asre."

I earned my Bachelor of Education in Physical Education and Sport, with a minor in Biology, from Dire Dawa University in 2010. I also hold a Master of Science in Football Coaching from Jimma University (2014/15) and am a certified Junior Nation Football Instructor (EFF) with a CAF-C coaching license. Additionally, I have a higher diploma in Teaching Education from DDU.

My experience includes coaching youth and adult football players, leading teamwork activities, and training youth project coaches and sports professionals. I enjoy sharing ideas, socializing, traveling, reading, researching, exercising, and playing football.

I am excited about this Master Class and hopeful that it will help us all achieve our goals in the teaching profession effectively. It’s great to see everyone here, and I look forward to our collaboration.

Dear Master Class Trainees, welcome to the Master Class Training: Foundations for excellence in teaching online program.

My name is Wondifraw Dejene, and I am from the college of Social Science and Humanities. I Have been here at Dire Dawa University for about 18 years, since its establishment.

I grown up both professionally and academically here at DDU. My bachelor degree is in pedagogical science from Bahir Dar University in 2006; Masters degree in educational research and development from Addis Ababa University in 2010; and a Doctor of Philosophy in education with a specialization in curriculum and instruction from Bahir Dar University in 2018.

I am passionate about teaching. I enjoy teaching and influencing people. My research areas of interest are teacher education, academic integrity, and instructional technology.

In this program, I will help you complete the course successfully and proceed to the next level of training. Teaching online is now becoming the new approach we all have to be familiar with. Bethelhem Hassen is a young, energetic woman enthusiastic to blend science and fashion to positively

impact lives through clothing. Achieving 94%, she became one of the top students in her 5-year Bachelor of

Garment Engineering study. With this result and a lot of competition, she managed to be an assistant

lecturer at one of the government universities. As textiles are the primary component of fashion design,

she was inspired by Ethiopian traditional textile weaves to design and create various sorts of clothing.
