-Taught for ten years
-Definition of assessment: can students apply the knowledge, no matter how they show it. Offer different choices on how to assess kids so they don't feel minimized to one choice.
-Focus more on the formative assessments and communicate students that they have room to grow.
-Go-to assessments starts with the planning of his lessons and started with the standards to use as a reference, takes standard and breaks it down into 4-5 questions to take note of their projects. If the students understand the concepts a lot faster than others, he challenged them a step further and has them come up with projects to teach others. He was also open about the state standard to his students that way they knew what to expect and set goals
-How to work smarter, not harder: utilize technology, focus on student learning, efficiency by doing your best with what you can do. Take it step by step. Don't feel like you don't have to do it all at once.
-Other advice: build relationships with students to better connect to them
