She heard that the two boys first called one another names and then it escalated and the boys began shoving one another. A moment later Crystal (Jake's cousin) walks by Mr. Reavey’s office. He calls her in and asks her if she saw anything happen between her classmates at recess. She tells Mr. Reavey that Alex is in the nurses’ office because he fell into the gaga pit. She saw him lose his balance and tip towards the pit. Jake then tried to catch him.
