She was grooming Alexa the way she would groom another cheetah." That is a sign of friendship. Also, in The passage "Unlikely Friendships for Kids" it states "He liked to lick Tanda and rub his face against Tonda's.That means that they are comfortable together. Sahara wrapped her paws around the other end and the two animals played tug-of-war.” This is one thing that tells us that it's the way how animal's show they like each other. And there is one more thing in source #3 it says "and they just had the friend in mind :a tabby cat named T.K. For some reasons, the cat wasn't afraid of the grumpy orangutan.” This shows us that they especially care for eachother a lot.
