We learned about different types organisms called invertebrates (no backbone) and vertebrates (with backbone), Mammals, insects, amphibians and birds.

We learned about bats, their habitats and anatomy.
We also learned about butterflies, and I was especially fascinated by the crazy complex anatomy of them. I do not have a garden at home, so it was a really enjoyable experience and I learned a lot about the different techniques and stages to planting various different vegetables.
I did a lot of weeding, raking (smoothing the soil) and then planting (I planted lettuce).

I loved learning about different organisms and also having fun in the gardening experience. 
Next year, I hope to be able to do Biology in leaving cert, so I will then have a head start in this matter. It was a wonderful subject to learn, and I think it persuaded me to choose this next year. I will also be trying to garden more in the future as a hobby.
