Ninety-nine of a panda's diet consists of bamboo. The other one percent consists of the occasional rodent or bird.

Polar bears are the largest carnivorous animals on Earth. They mainly eat seals, walruses, or whale carcasses, and an occasional bird egg or other food source.

Pandas live in mountain ranges in central China. They usually live in bamboo forests in the mountains of western China. Pandas used to live in lowlands, but human development drove them to the mountains.

Polar bears live in the circumpolar north. They typically live near leads, or openings in the ice where seals can be easily hunted.
