The name of the sliders…

A few years ago the sliders was invented around the 20´s or 40´s and it is belief that it comes from a restaurant called White Castle. But there is an important different between an hamburger and slider. Adam Kuban which is a great editor from the website Serious Eats says: “A slider is something very specific. It is not just a mini hamburger” And the great difference is that the slider is more tiny than a hamburguer so tiny that it “slide” down your throat and it is where the name comes from.

Why is this recipe imporartnt?

Because the objetive of the sliders is to be practical and fast to eat, so often it is made of small buns with cheese and beef, well this is basic récipe.

Cultural significance…

Yes, may be according with the belief the sliders was invented to do the people to eat beef again but in small amounts.
