I do support black lives, and I agree that there are major issues with the current state of race relations in the US, but the black lives matter movement is one that I cannot get behind because of the violence that is often associated with it.

Basically, I'm a Black female and I enjoy living. When I hear the phrase "Black Lives Matter" my stance basically remains as stated. My, black life, matters just as much as any other being. I actually get quite offended when I hear people belittle the situation at hand by saying "All Lives Matter". Now don't get me wrong, I do believe all lives are of essence, but it's like you calling the fire department saying your house is on fire, and they respond "Don't be silly, all the houses matter" Yet, yours is the only house burning down. There simply seems to be a history of injustice surrounding the black community and the majority of it's members. At the end of the day, we have been arguing over the same issues for hundreds of years. There is no sense of evolution between the common folk and we continue to allow the media to manipulate our points of view. There is no solid standpoint, and the real world is not black or white. There are trillions of vivid colors and beautiful rams in space, so why are we human beings so preoccupied with destroying one another?

Race relations are worse for some people now. but some people have been experiencing it for much longer also BLM is not gud

i agree with Colin Kaepernick. His actions are justified and his protest is appropriate. Before his protest, Americans were aware of the issue of police brutality and lack of prosecution for police officers. After kneeling on TV, the issue has been forced into the faces of everyone who watches. Kaepernick's protest has sparked so much controversy that change must come before the controversy ends.

There is a lack of understanding across the nation of who BLM is and what they stand for. I believe the movement would be much more effective with some clarification of their goals and the country would respond much differently. Many are uncertain of what actions the associate with and what policy they support. Coming from a hashtag, they need to build a foundation and let the public know what it entails.

I support the black lives matter movement. I disagree with the organization due to the fact that it puts a violent spin on the movement. I would prefer that the organization focus more on the peaceful protesting, and talking to influential people that could make the change that needs to be done.

Tensions in America
Race relations have been having a negative spike in the past few years due to the uptick of news coverage of black citizens being shot by police officers. This trend has caused increase racial tensions and the arise of the BLM movement which is in my opinion not really helping overall mostly impart to the fact that some of them who claim to be apart of the movement but probably aren't have done some very violent things such as looting and hurting police. Many people also don't exactly know what they stand for which increases dissention among the people.

I believe that racism will forever be an ongoing issue. In order to move forward and come to have equality in America, it is important to realize that racism has been an issue throughout history and all over the world. It's also important to keep in mind human psychology and how we judge and stereotype in order to come to a conclusion of what equality looks like.

I agree with the black lives matter movement but I also believe that racism will never be completely gone as people have the right to think ignorantly of others based on their skin tone.

I support the investigation into corruption in the police system. I do not support the BLM organization because they have not been effective in raising awareness for racial equality and instead have put a negative spin on the idea. I do support the idea of racial equality but I do not believe that the BLM organization has done or can do anything unless they take a different approach.

Short and sweet, the BLM movement is about putting a stop to police brutality, but the message that is trying to be conveyed from the Movement will never be heard. It's not because the movement is not strong enough, but the movement is not organized. For example, the police have a captain and the military have a president to follow by. Riots are being caused because there is no general to rally behind. A general would have a strategy to execute his vision, but without one there is nothing being solved.

"Why not all lives matter?"The Black Matter Movement isn't trying to say black lives are more important. Black Lives Matter is simply saying "our lives are valid too". It is not the same as "Our lives are more important". BLM is not promoting any hate towards any group, including police. Nor is it only focusing on police brutality, its a range of different things.
