<title>CASE 1 (G1, G2, G3)Husky, a 5-year old male dog developed a 10-day history of sudden behavioural changes, including aggression followed by seizures. During the period of aggression, the dog bit one of the family members. The dog was unresponsive to anti-seizure treatment and was euthanized and necropsied. A sample was sent for laboratory analysis and was positive for rabies. 1.	Describe the immunopathogenesis of rabies and the type of immunity that is important in providing protection against rabies (i.e.: cellular-mediated vs. humoral immunity). Please justify your answer. 2.	Discuss the samples and the diagnostic assays that can be used to confirm rabies in animals. 3.	Describe the different types of rabies vaccine that are available commercially, which vaccine(s) is/are available in Malaysia and their advantages and disadvantages. </title>

<title>CASE 3 (G7, G8, G9)Canine distemper virus (CDV) and canine parvovirus (CPV) cause life-threating infections with a major impact on the canine population. Vaccination has proven successful to prevent future CPV and CDV infections.1.	Describe the diagnostic assays commonly used to detects CDV and CPV infections in dogs. 2.	Determine the type of immunity that is important in p roviding protection against CDV and CPV (ie: cellular-mediated vs. humoral immunity). Please justify your answer.3.	Discuss the possible factors that can influence vaccine-induced immunities against CD and CP infections in dogs. </title>
