Sodium gets a positive charge and chlorine a negative charge.<br>2. What is the difference between an acid and a base? Acids (Less than 7 pH) have a higher concentration of H+ ions while bases have a higher concentration of OH- ions<br>3. Describe the structure and function of nucleic acids (refer to your macro chart). The structure is nucleotides made of Carbon Hydrogen Oxygen Nitrogen Phosphorus(CHONP) They store and transmit hereditary/genetic information.&nbsp;<br>4. Explain how chemical reactions affect chemical bonds between atoms. - The chemical reactions break down the bonds in atoms and either absorb or release energy while rearranging to form new products.</div>]]></description>
