Our group will help students become more engaged into classroom learning which would improve scores on ACT Aspire 10/ benchmark(How?) Explain the project. We will show the importance of participation in class by advising the students to raise their hands, and ask questions to fully understand the lesson being taught. By putting this in motion , it would improve the students scores on the ACT Aspire/ benchmark dramatically because the students would understand that participation in class is the way to success on these standardized test. This will be presented through the PowerPoint. We will address the teachers in a respectable manner. We will create a short questionnaire for the teachers about their students attentiveness. It will ask for the the class' average. If the average is lower than expected on the benchmark/ ACT Aspire 10 based on the rubric, the reason may be lack of comprehension or understanding. We will give pointers on how to improve class participation and involvement in this certain class. Our pointers will be relevant to any class that has an average lower than what is expected by the scores the ACT requires you to make. This would be presented to our grade level teacher in their assigned classroom and period.Pointers would be: 1) Ask questions when you are not completely sure (don't wait until it's too late) 2)Get help from a classmate when the teacher is busy. 3)Ask for one on one help (tutoring) maybe you need some alone time with your instructor to focus 4)Complete your homework on time.
