We have to first restate so that both parties understand the actual situation, second learn to be able to summarize it to make the message more clear especially with students. I think that the most important one is using minimal encourages like directly making eye contact with the person you're having the conversation with. to be an active listener, you have to show whoever is speaking that you're listening.
